7.50 at Coles 8.50 at Woolworths if you only want one and don't have prime

Amazon suck with deals… They only price match coles etc.

      • +2

Matching + 10% off for S&S + ? for discounted cards (avaliable for Woolies/Coles too) + Free quick delivery is pretty good, just don't think these price matches should be plastered over ozbargain.

        • Yh it's not the worst when you stack everything (and delivery is very convenient) but I guess when amazon came to Australia I was expecting more… Not just a company that price matches others but that has its own offers outside of black Friday etc.

Hey, isn't this what keeps the Sydney Roosters in the top 4?

    Tabasco got nothing on periperi.

    tapatio is better than tabasco

    • +4

I find them quite different - Tabasco is vinegar based which works far better with certain items. Tapitio doesn't have any vinegar (I think it's water)

Eh I think it's a fair bit different. Not as vinegary, and not as runny — I have both in the pantry for different purposes.

      • How would you rate this? I love Tabasco

        • +1

Very very nice hot sauce that goes on almost everything. Not super hot but mild burn.

@blighst is correct though, it doesn't have the vinegar zing of Tabasco. If you want to up your spice game, you'll want the Secret Aadvark Habanero. Unfortunately it sells out due to popularity but seriously good. One of my favs.

@mckayver: I'm a fan of the Tapatio, it's not crazy hot but it sure is tasty. They have it at Mad Mex if there's one near you.

            • @mckayver: I bought that recently when someone else recommended it on ozbargain. It's nothing like tabasco but I really like it a lot. It's not super spicy but definitely has some kick and just has a nice flavour. I gave a couple of bottles to 2 mates from work and they really like it too.

          • @Hybroid: What a peculiar name and packaging for the aardvark sauce. How spicy is it? Recently I've bought a small bottle of every flavour of tabasco available on Amazon. The habanero tabasco is by far the hottest and almost too much for me. I get the sweats, runny nose and watery eyes from it. I am keen to try this aardvark one but. Added to my wishlist.

@Shaun Prawn: I would suggest Secret Aardvark is another step up from Tabasco Habanero. It's a much nicer fruity flavour though and far less vinegary but still hotter. Will take a 4-5 meals to get used to the Habanero heat but after that you'll find yourself really enjoying it.

Would suggest finish the Tabasco one first and if you feel you've built your resistance to that level of heat then try the Aardvark one.

Another option to consider if you want something to uplift burgers and BBQ type meals, is Bunster's range. They're actually very mild and nowhere near as spicy as they suggest but great flavour and it's all healthy ingredients. Suits more dry meaty meals and not sauces/stews/currys. Worth a go.

              • @Hybroid: Awesome I'll give bunsters a go then… I think I will hold off on the aardvark one for now.

          • @Hybroid: Thank you for the recommendation. Going to try it when its available next. They also have a green pepper version…serrabanero…is that any good?

            • +1

@Munki Kundi: I haven't tried the Serrabanero one actually so no idea. Seems like a mix of Habanero and Serrano which might be good but would still recommend the red one!

      • Unless this is different, it is cheaper here and available within a couple of days rather than a month or two:

        • I did some google searching and apparently the black label one is hotter than the yellow label.
