Good configuration unless you looking for laptop for gaming or video editing. I used the earlier version with 10th Generation processor. Very fast processing speed. Only draw back is FHD if you use large external monitor.

Unless you really need Thunderbolt the Ryzen versions are usually better and cheaper.
… and this has one of the infamous 4 core i7 processors so in many use cases worse than 10th Gen.
And for a $1,600 laptop I'd expect Pro not home.
And for a 14" laptop it's not even light… due to the flip format.
Is there one that you recommend? Specific model-wise? We are looking for a general use laptop and been absolutely perplexed by the different Lenovo models and stuff.
It depends what it's for. If it will be very mobile or mostly on a desk plugged in. If it's not gonna move much then a 15"-17", else a 13"-14". There's been a few good Lenovo examples posted over the past month. For general use you don't need a great GPU so Ryzen iGPU would do
Not to mention soldered RAM and integrated graphics. Just not good enough in late 2021, especially at this price.
