Hi there, presuming that your filters are made to the same standard as Dyson's, the following statement is incorrect "High Performance:the V11 & V15 filter are made from HEPA, small allergens, pollen, dust, dust and mold spores can be captured."

Only the Dyson V15 cyan coloured filter which is specifically branded as such is a HEPA filter in and of itself.

Whilst most Dyson vacuums achieve HEPA level filtration with their filters (i.e. cyclones) and such, the filters themselves are not HEPA, with the exception of the V15 as previously stated

I am a Dyson employee, I want to be very clear that I am speaking on behalf of myself and not the company, and I understand that it's easy to make small mistakes however I do recommend that you ensure post accuracy.

If these are made to a different standard to those of Dyson's, please disregard.

    Best, Dan

      Good post Dan.
Any recommendations to buy official ones without having to pay shipping?
      Do any stores stock them?

        Thanks for the feedback, appreciated.

I believe the best bet would be purchasing at one of the service centres located in Mount Waverly (Melb), Taren Point (Syd), Coopers Plains (Bris) or Osbourne Park (Perth) if you're close by, otherwise there aren't too many options sadly at this stage.

Next best bet would probably be to either visit your local Harvey's or Good Guys if they are a location with a Dyson Expert representative working there on weekends. Sometimes there are a couple spares knocking around.

If you do have any issues with the filter within the first 2 years, feel free to call the support team and they'll generally provide you with a new one for no fuss. Might even be worth giving them a call and seeing if they can help you out regardless. Obviously YMMV but hope that helps somewhat.

        Have a great night!

        • Bloody legend, Osborne Park is 4km away, will add this to a trip for sure! Thanks mate!

Edit: found my receipt for 6/6/19, 2 months out of warranty, RIP me… haha

    • You are right Dan

V15 is only the only one with hepa filter, Hepa level filtration was related to the other ones so there the misunderstanding.

      We appreciated your feedback.

      Corrections has been made.

      • Thanks for addressing this Carlos!

I appreciate your being willing to correct promptly to avoid confusion, many don't do so.

        Have a great night!

    • I have recently purchased the V15 total clean from good guys and assumed it has HEPA filter, guess I was wrong.
Is it possible to purchase the HEPA filter to fit on the standard V15?

      • +1

Hey mate, good news is that the overall system achieves the standard of filtration required for HEPA branding, however if you do want the actual HEPA filter itself it’s available on the Dyson website for $25. The part number is 970013-03. You’ll know it’s the one because it’s cyan instead of purple.

I will say that I would personally continue using the standard filter until it is worn out from washing, as the higher level of filtration will increase resistance and cause a minute drop in suction. Still the highest suction of any cord free vacuum to my understanding, even with the HEPA filter.

        Hope that helps.

  • Does this fit Dyson V11 absolute Pro?

    • Yes, it does fit.

How frequently should you change these or how long until washing out the filter isn’t good enough anymore?

    • As user advice this depends how frequently you use your vacuum, is difficult to measure this but a sign of a new filter required can be a reduction of suction power. Usually is 6 months aprox. but this can be variable according the use frequency of your vacuum.

      Hope this helps.

  • would be good to get a V10 discount too.

  • We do have a listing in a good price for V10
