      I think they all have their pros and cons. FWIW, I picked up the PIA deal recently and am finding that service to be good for my needs. I liked that they are open source, so their code can be checked (not that I have that skill).

        I have surfshark, but since a couple of months its not allowing me to use US Netflix.
        Any suggestions ?
        Which server are you using ?
        I'm using Netflix Windows app.
        Process ::
        1) Start VPN
        2) Connect to New York
        3) Launch Netflix app
        4) Try to search "Flash"
        5) Get warning that I'm using VPN and "Flash" disappears from search result.

          Netflix is aggressively blocking the geographically restricted libraries and this is a known issue with every VPN service provider like NordVPN, PIA, PrivateVPN, Cyberghost, Keepsolid, ExpressVPN, PureVPN, Windscribe etc.

    Nord or SurfShark ? Main use for NetFlix / HotStar. Already have Ivacy, not happy with the speeds.

      Not sure about Nord.
      However, for both Netflix and Hotstar, surfshark has stopped working.
      It used to work fine few months ago, no more. Even Voot ( Colors TV) is a hit/miss using surfshark.

            @thousandsuns: Maybe possible. VPN to India, enter random address (eg. Mumbai). Dont remember if you need an Indian phone number for OTP purposes. But I did so with my number which I'm using here.

              I do have indian number active and nord VPN, but last I checked, I couldn't get the free content from hotstar to work properly using multiple servers of NordVPN, so did not bother to get the subscription.

              Which VPN works for you for Hotstar?

    My experience with Surfshark has been good, good consistent speeds, my only gripe would be their PC application more often than not fails to reconnect on resume from hibernate.

    I'm also using Surfshark and haven't had any issues with it.

    But a recent article (https://themarkup.org/ask-the-markup/2021/08/12/how-private-…) has compared different VPNs and it said Surfshark is collecting "device's advertising identifier" for marketing purpose. I'm thinking of switching to other VPNs when my subscription ends.
