Does anyone else think that we don't really need this.
And hanging this around your neck poses an OH&S risk, I would have thought.

I think the use of 'industrial fan' is one of the largest exagerations I've seen all year.
However, having 2 (or more) of these strapped to my waist blowing air up my shirt would've been greatly appreciated back when I used to live in stupidly humid climates.
(Assuming my shirts were exactly the correct length to go over the exhaust vent and not cover the intake vents…..)

After reading your comment, my mind went to the possiblity of me re-enacting that famous Marilyn Monroe moment on the subway vent.

        • :) And I thought of changing the angle and flying around with four of these :D

      • Yeah, industrial fan? Clearly never seen Michael Cthulhu's set-up. This one doesn't even require an AC power cord.

      • It appears to have clips to hold your too-long shirt at the right height

I once stuck the nozzle of a 18v blower up my sleeve. After working outside for hours in summer heat wearing a long sleeve shirt, it was bliss. So the basic idea has merit

  • Hmm…. 18650 + 5V 80mm fan + 3D printed 90deg. outlet…… I have a project to try :D

  • Hey OP is this really 4000mAh (proof?) as it looks identical to this and many others on Ali that are identical which all state they are 3000mAh

    • They will almost certainly be run by a pair of 18650's, and the cost between 1500mAh and 2000mAh cells isn't a lot.

The other possibility, is that they're rating it on 5v output, which will increase assuming it's using a high efficiency voltage converter.

      • Thanks for the info; I was mainly concerned if they are only 3000mAh how long they "really" last on low power (not just what the OP claims), with the summer fast approaching and working in the heat.

        • The rating will MOSTLY be for the charging ports sake.
Even if the fan consumed a WHOPPING 1A (which is not the case) it will last 3 hours+, even 500mAh is rediculous for a fan.
So lets assume it uses about 200mAh, and lets be really harsh and add 25% to that with a cheap crappy voltage regulator; so even if it's lying, and rating them in series (so, 2000mAh @ 8.4v)…. I'd say you'd likely get well over 8 hours, almost guaranteed, if the rating is anything CLOSE.
          Just some educated guessing though.
