Users will need to fulfil the referral criteria within 180 days from referee's sign-up date to unlock cashback.

Why is it banned to post referral links or codes here?
To give a fair level playing ground for everyone. You are not the only one having this desire. Hence, you may go into your profile settings, select the 'referral' tab and enter your referral link there for Shopback (or for that matter, any merchant / store). OzB uses a randomiser to randomly give referral links to people who want it. Scroll up and see the 'Referral Random' link? Someone else's (or yours) would be randomly picked whenever anyone wants a referral code.
I actually understand the idea and the way you put it makes perfect sense but i was thinking there should still be someway to share personal links other than the randomizer. Like in comments or something. Or Is there a chat feature here that i am missing.
Yes, there is a "Messages" feature, like private chat. It may not be enabled for you yet as you are a new user. You will get it eventually, but dont Spam people, you will get blocked.
The only right way is to use the randomiser.
Also, if your post gets a lot of upvotes (popular), then Ozb will automatically put in your referral code beside the 'Referral Random' - so that people may choose to either use your code, or get a random code.

A link won't appear. The OPs link will be weighted more than everyone else's though the random link.

never had a single person from Ozbargain signup via my Shopback link, shows a few clicks but that's about it all
Guys who introduced me to shopback never had any issues. So far me neither. I always triple check the steps required for the cookies to work.
But i have seen a growing number of complaints here. May be someone should find out what percentage of their business is shady. They definitely are playing games.

Hey I am using 2nd method, the https://app.shopback.com/ link is unclickable, can only copy it. Once I copy and paste into URL, I get a entirely different template.
Whatever the link you get is not really important. You just need to copy the raf part of the long URL which is 6 characters long.
I was having the same troubles too.
You actually have to copy the short link using the button and in another tab open that link and it will grow to reveal the raf bit.

Open the Referral Page on Shopback's site and copy the https://app.shopback.com/… link. Paste the link into a new tab which will unshorten to https://www.shopback.com.au/signup-referred?showsignup=true&raf=[CODE]&_branch_match_id=xxx. Copy the CODE in the final URL.
I've only had one go through using the randomiser (from 4 clicks) but I got notifications when they signed up and again once their purchase was confirmed which is usually about 3 months max. But then they need to log in and withdraw it so depends on whether they do that usually from I've heard on other threads. I think they've improved from years ago with regard to tracking purchases/links.

THE TRUTH OF THE FACT IS NO NEW CUSTOMER WANT MERE $10,
New customer will only sign if
they either desperately need to use SB
or
they either are getting a good bonus, like $30 in past was a good one.
The person who refers only benefits when the referred person gets his bonus. Ultimately if new customer doesnt sign up, then referrers dont get anything, (i.e. they are better of getting $5, than $0 aka no signup)
$40 - $10 split is not working…
in such case, $30 - $20 would probably be better
more reason for the one being invited to join and use shopback
And even it is $30, all of us wanted to spread shopback to the others.
The problem is the one being invited has not much intention to use :(
