Calm App Lifetime Plan TRY532 (~A$88, 84% off RRP A$550) - VPN (Turkey) Required

1940

I've been a long time (2 year) user of calm, and my kids go to sleep with sleep stories every night. My last annual subscription just expired so went looking for value. Turns out a 60% black friday code from 2019 still works which was advertised on Calm's official twitter here: https://twitter.com/calm/status/1200414292174155778

When combined with a turkish VPN (I used free windscribe) as suggested in previous VERY popular deal here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/594902 it brings it down to the cheapest ever lifetime subscription. Instructions from last deal:

1) Connect to any VPN by selecting the country as "Turkey"
2) Once connected, visit the deal link
3) The payment amount will be shown as TRY 532 which equates to ~ A$88
4) Recommended paying with your card that supports low foreign exchange conversion charges.
5) Enjoy!

Additional / Alternative 60% off link thanks to @mrmilkmoustache

      • yeah that was the 60% but it was showing turkey prices but charged me in AUD… perhaps VPN d/c ? :/

        • damn, i just got it for TRY 532.

    • I shouldn’t laugh but that cracked me up.

    • Got that price back in November 2020. No VPN.

  • I don't sleep enough to make this worth while. I usually listen to a podcast at bed time and fall asleep pretty quickly. The history of Rome goes for hours and hours

    • lol scottie pippen all the way

  • Somehow I don’t understand how the subscription model works for these apps. Shouldn’t they all be better off with a one time purchase? 🤔

    • +1

will netflix make more money selling you a subscription or one-time purchase? do the math.

      • i meant from a buyer’s perspective.

        • +1

          Works both ways
Some people are scared off by lifetime purchase, wondering whether they will continue to use it, it if the company will disappear.
Given new content is added daily I think the subscription model works fine here, I'll take a lifetime for around the cost of a year though

    • Heard of inflation ?

  • Unable to go through the payment, how can I manage that?

  • +1

    It worked for me!

I tried paying with my credit card, but did not work

I used Revolut to pay using the virtual credit card, worked like a charm

    • +1

      I used Wise. Easiest .
Top up any current you want in the world with AUD and use the multi currency card for shopping with no Transaction fee.

  • +1

Subscribed, thank you for the amazing offer.
28 degrees card did not work, but 28 Degrees in Google Pay worked.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Just got it for the missus. Used the UP card with Windscribe.

  • damn ozbargains…
woke up this morning and didnt think I would be buying a meditation app.. but hey, a deal is a deal.
maybe this can help with my 4 year olds anger issues?

    used Nordvpn
28 degrees wouldnt work, but could pay with 28 degrees via google pay.

Anyone want to go halves, or thirds, or quarters? How many logins can you have?

Share the login with all of OzB's in a show of solidarity and thriftivity (not a word).

    • Is it tied to your Google account or separate login?

  • +1

    Got it, Tanks Op!!

    … and Helicopters too!

  • Just purchased thanks OP. Much better than those annual subscriptions from other apps.

If I dont use it enough then I can just sell my lifetime subscription I guess?

  • +1

I prefer to get my calm in Little book version

  • Good gift for the Mrs or will she think that I think she's crazy or something?

    • If she's already into meditation should be good.
If she isn't and you just want her to chill might be risky…

If your concerned about perception, get it for yourself and give her access. Might get less initial kudos, but removes some of the judgement risk.

Now at 4:30am I am putting on "gently back to sleep" meditation

  • Thanks OP, bought the plan.

  • Thanks OP. Bought it for $89. But, annual subscription costs about $20 with Turkey VPN. That means, I will have to use this app for 4.5 years to justify this purchase. :D

  • What’s the difference between this and audible one ? Thanks

    • +1

They are completely different services aren't they? What are the similarities?

      • they have similar thing such as
        Soundscapes: The Audible Sleep Collection
        Meditations: The Audible Sleep Collection
Bedtime Stories: The Audible Sleep Collection

they are free for audible members

I have used balance app with free subscriptions back then
        I prefer audible somehow
        never used Calm though

  • Can anyone please confirm this deal has not expired?

Using Nord VPN and I see price in TRY but its TRY1330 instead of TRY532.

    Thanks!

  • +2

Thanks so much, just saved me about $130 as my wife can't live without this app now.

I used AdGuard VPN and the price was TRY 531.99. Paid through Google Pay with no problems.

Not sure if it makes a difference but I was using a slightly different link which is also 60% off but with a different code.

    • Thanks for the updated link!

Can I please ask how did you pay with Google Pay? I only see debit/credit card options, no options to use Google pay.

      • I'm using Google Chrome, perhaps that could help?

        • I tried Chrome browser but still no Google pay option :(

    • Added link to the deal, thanks

  • I'm interested in this, but I my free 12 month subscription (from Amex) runs out in December. What would be my process to stack this onto the end of my current subscription? Cancel the current (or wait till it ends), then sign up to this using my same credentials?

    • Yes, cancel the current.
You log on using your same account details and sign up for this lifetime deal.

  • +1

Thanks OP, I just used this. My Amex 1 year free membership just ran out and I could justify paying the $80 for lifetime access. Great app.

  • Please help.

I'm trying to get this offer. I'm doing it on my phone. But when i get to step 3 above I don't have an option to enter TRY 532.

    What do i do?

    • Try532 isn't a voucher, it's the price in Turkish lira when buying via turkey (via VPN)

  • Youtube?

  • Showed up as TRY 1,329.99 for me. deal expired?

  • just purchased today for 531.99 ($84 AUD)

    installed free windscribe
    Opened Inprivate Window
    opened link provided by mrmilkmoustache
    https://www.calm.com/lifetime-offer?plan=lifetime&coupon=EC8…
    logged into my Calm Account

previously tried link in title showing 1,329.99 using normal browser and not InPrivate Window

    thanks OP and mrmilkmoustache
    Great Deal :)

    • I can confirm this link posted works.
      Was $84.02 today.
I used a Citibank debit card and it worked

      • Awesome I also used Citibank debit card which is great for international transactions
Enjoy your calm and remember to always stay calm 😅

  • Can this be purchased as a gift at this price?

  • Tried this method with a new link mentioned in the comments above. Used Nordvpn and ING credit card and it all worked. Thanks OP
