Quality of support doesn't = quality of appliance.
Both KitchenAid & Kenwood have their good and bad points, but KitchenAid machines see far fewer returns due to quality of components used.
Kenwood have far better local support and aftersales service though.
Source: worked at a repair centre for both brands, saw both, old and new, on a daily basis.
So you are saying Kitchenaid is a better buy?

Just bought one, with some attachments. Not sure if there was some extra special when you buy an attachment, but price came down by a fair bit again for the KVL8300S. I reckon more like 30% total discount.

thanks, I managed to figure out the splash cover and the pasta maker dies give a bigger discount than the cost themselves.
drop the cost of just the mixer to 679$. I got 650$ at one point but couldn't replicate it.I got the pasta shaper and the grinder and got the mixer itself for $679. Didn't get down to $650.
Gonna sell my kitchenaid and attachments - haven't been that happy with it.

Also debating the same. My wife wants the "Titanium Chef Patissier XL KWL90.004SI" and for $1000 seems to be the best price we'll get.

@kley78: Certainly appreciate any heads up for deals and hope your wife likes it! Sometimes you have to just give them the wrapped reciept, but always nicer if they can get the box on the day.
@scart: I have not been able to find any thing better than appliances online's price. So I am going to buy the mixer today from TGG for $1055. I preferred TGG because I can pick it up. It is quicker and a lot safer than the courier or AuPost
Bloody great bargain and miles better than any Kitchenaid- the fact that Kenwood warranties this mixer for 10 years is proof of it's quality.
