Sony Stereo Turntable with Bluetooth (PSLX310BT) $299 + Delivery ($0 to Selected Areas/ C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

130

By all accounts a great turntable to begin with, close to the lowest price I think, lower prices for clearance as far as I know.

Just noticed Harvey Norman has reduced it to $295 on their website too.

I was searching for these two weeks ago, ended up picking up Audio-Technia from Costco for $175 (JB selling it over $300).

Couple of dollars cheaper on Sony website: https://store.sony.com.au/turntable/PSLX310BT.html ($295)

Can stack Amex $80 off $300 spend offer if you add $8 earphones.

    • Cashrewards also offers 7% on Sony.com.au, meaning $295 down to $274.35 if you're not lucky enough to have Amex.

      • Will CR stack on top of AMEX? If so this is a killer deal for the money.

        • CR is now 2% on Sony

  • What are some recommended speakers to go with something like this or the Audio technica?

    • Since it has Bluetooth 5, you can pair it with many of the modern speakers and headphones for a good quality sound.

I paired my turntable with marshall stanmore ii, mainly for the look, but their sound is great too.

    • I'm using audioengine a2+ with Project Primary E, sound great but I prefer my Sonos setup and Spotify

The irony of playing an analogue record just to convert it to digital…

    • I was thinking the same thing, it makes no sense.

obviously the best was is with an integrated amp with phono input or your own phone preamp but let's get real here

its all about the wireless in 2021

You want convenience stick with Sonos and Spotify.

These devices just ends up in landfill once the novelty wears off. Having to physically get up after 24 mins of music and flip it over to play the other side it is far from convenient.

Nothing says convenience in 2021 like firing up a record player to listen to music

@buffalo bill: Listening to music with convenience on a turntable Yeah nah.

Nothing like having to get up to flip the laser disk over to watch the second half of a movie.

        • Wireless great is for devices that move.

          Turntables dont move.

            @Laserface: "Turntables dont move."

WTF? Mine moves at 45rpm and 33rpm.

      • It’s for playing grand-dad’s record collection.

The Bluetooth feature is really just an extra gimmick and marketing feature to suck in the modern day consumer. This as a stand alone automatic turn table is actually really good at its price point

      • Automatic, that is one feature you do not want on a turntable. After a few years your be lucky the device can still function as intended. There is a reason why all high end turntables are all manual. It will last forever due to the simplicity and you just need to replace the cartridge and belt after every few years.

        • This isn’t a high end turntable?

        • Any supporting evidence or is it simply because moving parts = more wear and tear?

    • Turntable are new retro fashion, just as mini Nintendo craz and these days not many sound systems comes with analogue input. So this is a plus.

  • Does this have Pre amp built in?

    • I believe so

    • Yes

  • My receiver does not have a phono input. So how do I connect this turntable to it? Will the line output help to connect direct?

I am tempted to pull the trigger due to the fact that this has solid reviews. With the Amex offer, it will be cheap enough to explore and if Vinyl is not my thing, I can exit with minimal spend.
