Via Hacker News. Reginald Braithwaite (@raganwald) has released his book "How to Do What You Love & Earn What You’re Worth as a Programmer" on LeanPub, starting from $0, and it's Today Only.

How it works is that the "suggested price" is $4.99, however it allows you to use a slider to adjust how much you are willing to pay. The minimum price would be $0 for today only. Still, if you have the money and would like to reward the author — by all means pay the suggested price (or more if you are generous). However if you are a cash strapped programmer been eating Mi Goreng for the last 2 weeks (or just an ozbargain-badge-bearing cheapskate), here's an option for you to get this book for FREE.

    how many pages does it take to say…..

    "you won't get any money from actually doing any programming, because you can't compete with the outsourcing to the sub continent & Asia. But if you write a book like this and 500,000 people pay $1 for it, then you'll end up with $500k!"

    It's a pretty amateurish book. Not gonna neg 'cause hey, it's free, but honestly I don't think there's much to gain out of this one.
