Not the cheapest it has been recently - recent price history.
However, still the cheapest I could find as of now and way less than the usual non-sale price of $499. This is a US import and shipping is from overseas which was estimated to be 14th of September for me.

    it was $300-303 for the last 2 months or so.
    They lifted the price last week.
    I thought maybe it's because of AUD/USD exchange rates…

    I bought one on Amazon last night for $309 (AU), and used gift cards (3% off) and 4% cashback - should bring it under $290. I didn't see one this expensive on Amazon.

        I have just checked again and it has gone from $309 with free shipping last night (DJI store) to $328.90 + $9.92 shipping - same seller. I placed my order at 6:38pm last night - it said that there was 4 left when I bought, so perhaps this is "new stock" ?

        I am guessing that the exchange rate changed. I have been following this listing for a couple of weeks now and it is the first time I have seen a shipping charge though.

        My cashback (CR) has been confirmed so final price is $288.50 (gift cards & cashback).

    I thought $299 was a standard everyday price for this camera for quite some time, and didn't expect at this price tag it could be posted as a "deal". If you can't wait, of course you can buy it but that doesn't change the fact this is no deal at all. I have this camera in my auto watching list since before last Xmas shopping season and anything beyond $299 is not worth it. The best deal by far seems to be the JB $299 with 2 batteries.

        Definitely. If you need it right now then just buy it. With approximately $170 off the MSRP and just about $30 more than history low you can't go so much wrong. But for someone like me who can wait (I'm gonna mount it to my FPV quad so it's gonna smash and crash and it won't be taken care of like my other DSLRs), deal is just not that good.

      No, the "standard everyday price" is nowhere near $299 unfortunately.

      I have been looking at the prices for a few weeks now, and other than Amazon, everyone else has it for $398 (MobileCiti & Allphones), $399 (Teds, Digidirect etc), $499 or higher. JB HiFi, HN etc is currently $499.

      It depends what you mean by "worth it" - compared to even a GoPro 8, the camera compares quite favorably and the prices (even $399) is lower than the Hero 8, and anything less than $299 is obviously "a steal" by comparison, but there has only been about 5 or 6 times in 2021 that I have found it less than $299, and that included a couple of EOFYS deals - most of them at JB HiFi.

      I paid $288.50 (3% off gift cards & 4% cashback) at Amazon a couple of hours before the OP posted this, which is one of the better deals this year. I will spend another $25 getting a 3rd party charger + 2 batteries and just not use those batteries underwater.
