in store only…. i cant get down there cause of work, how am i meant to spend my moneys?

  • "up to" pfft

    • +1

up to 29% off is not a bargain. This means at least 1 item has to be a guaranteed 29% off. everything else may only be 1%. Again a % off does not guarantee they won't jack up the retail prices.

So are there any real bargains where the same item can't be found cheaper elsewhere ???

Why 29%? is this some special number?

    • does the term 'leap year' mean anything?! lol
ps can i vote 'up to 29%' on this deal??! ha!

  • Hardly Normals and their marketing schemes…

  • +1

I'm giving this deal up to 29% of a +1.

HN always jack their prices up when there is a % off sale. They could give 99% and would still be a massive rip off

  • Haha, I knew there'd be some negativity, but didn't realise how bad it would be :) I couldn't be bothered going either, but was just posting in case there are some people who love Harvey Norman around here hiding in the woodwork…

  • Anything "up to" from Hardly Normal is similar to nothing. Their mark up is much greater than saving. I will only start consider them, if they, at the very least, have "almost" no restriction BOGOF such as their previous camera deal…

  • /shakes head

You guys are so fickle. The retailer with the most stuff I purchased last year? Harvey Norman. Buy one Get one free camera, 20% off storewide (I got Telstra recharges etc.), 42 inch LG Smart TV and the countless bargains from the bargain bins and from asking the staff. Oh, not to mention 50% off Nintendo accessories.

    Yay for actually remembering stuff!

Cool story bro, That applies to this deal how?

      • Because, at these "non-deals" there was actually many bargains. You need to actually go there and look. Blindly jumping on the bandwagon regardless of past sales, claiming that there are no deals, where the past have proven otherwise, time and time again is idiotic.

EDIT: Also, I should mention that not all Harvey Normans are as good as other ones. Perhaps anyone that is underwhelmed by these deals simply go to a poor Harvey Norman. The two that I go to are great.

  • Wonder if this has anything to do with the poor results they released today?
