  • Not sure if this will be WiFi 6E compatible… maybe a clearance on non-E ax products?

No it's not 6E, I have one and this isn't a good price. Brand new on sale was around this price why would you buy a refurbished?

Wifi 6e is way way off in becoming mainstream, no point in waiting

This is not the sort of thing id buy used.

Routers are one of those things which can often run their processors at 100% for extended periods, and IC degradation is a real thing.

Wifi is frustrating enough without wondering if its the router or the config, right from 'new'.

    • We have a two year old tp link default router and I’ve noticed issues with jitter and lag - do you think the processor in it is degrading?

      • If you never attached heatsinks from new; there are quite a lot that I see degrade after 12-18 months.

In future, a pack of adhesive ram-sinks are an amazing investment.

  • Is refurbished worth to buy?

    That should be:
    Is refurbished worthy of buying?

  • You can pick it up new for around the $330 mark, why would you buy refurbished for the same price?

    • really? I searched and new is around the $499 mark

      • +2

Wireless 1 have had it under $350 quite a few times. You may have to wait for a decent deal to pop up but they do get cheaper. Otherwise keep an eye out for the 86U, they're quite similar with the 86U having a 2.5gbps port from memory

  • Looks like you're asking for an opinion instead of posting a deal. Should go straight to forum.

  • Refurbished AND Kogan —-> ROFLMAO.

      Kogan —-> ROFLMAO.

  • Comes with free custom firmware by the original owner!

    • lolol. What about the hard reset I can put a pin in the back and im safe right? ;)

      • That just allows the router to interface with the 5G chip in your brain!! ;)

      • With the wink, its hard to tell if you're asking or being sly.

Regardless; for any readers, the answer is "no", that wont replace the 'new' firmware.
