Most likely a code. I got the Xbox One Halo 5 Console, and it came with a code
Ideally, it would be great for Microsoft to include both (wishful thinking I know). I like to have the physical copy, but with Series X and PS5, due to SSD and consoles being quiet, the digital version of the game is nicer. Disc spinning noise is the loudest noise in both consoles now.
Also, especially with QuickResume, discs ruin that. Digital version… so cannot resell.
@netsurfer: Surely once installed the disc wouldn’t be spinning much at all as the game generally stops playing it off the HD.
As for digital copy once it’s claimed yeh there’s no resale value, but I think there is a way around the digital entitlement being linked to the Xbox instead of a code but I would probably only recommend doing it for extremely close friends / family members as it likely would need you to sign in as them (or them be there)
@netsurfer: Also with the disc game, you can not use quick resume. My DVD drive is only for 4k movies.
Plus who needs disc when you have game pass.
does the console included game include all the bonus content that comes with the collectors edition of the game?
Download, they don't include DVD anymore. Only sometime eb JB doing bundle with physical copy
My bro and mate are not privvy to keeping up to date with releases. Both wanted one. I ordered with the same cc using two different email addresses. Anyone know if this has been acceptable in the past?
Also looks I doubled up in an order, even though it says one per customer. I'm not worried about the $$, but now on hold to EB customer service. Hopefully it means one other person can get an order in after I cancel.

If you can, get both. The reality is that without competition, I doubt Series X would be competitively priced.
Honestly, both have room for improvement. Microsoft really need to stop forcing patched games being deemed Series S|X version and require internal SSD. A lot of those games are really XBox One version with fps bump. Otherwise, make that CFast Express add-on card cheaper. Let's not kid ourselves here. It is PCIe gen 3 x4 (sure you can spin it as PCIe gen 4 x2, but that has the same bandwidth). Don't BS customers and try to price it at PCIe gen 4 level.
Got one from Microsoft store, and it's better that if you're not paying all balance by store credit, it will only charge 10 days before release date.

If out of stock during checkout, just keep refreshing as the stock comes and go quickly. I have out of stock during checkout for about 5 times and finally got one after a lot of refreshing. Once you got the review page, it looks like the stock is reserved, as I have time to read the cancel detail and adding paypal details.
Fees like the standard version is already a limited edition.

Managed to get one! Been a halo fan since the OG Xbox. This looks so good! Will be selling my launch day series x. Hopefully get the best part of what I paid for it given they’re so hard to find still.

Thats if you managed to get a pre-order. I missed out with Eb, but got one in with Microsoft. Used some of my credit with Eb to get the controller which has also been removed from their site now
If you managed one from ms, don't forget to use 10% Xbox gift card. You can buy from shopback. You can update your payment method for your preorder. But if you put 849 in your ms account, they will charge immediately. JB charges for delivery, if I am able to order another one from MS, I will cancel that

@ce5himm: That process is really hit or miss based on what I read in the forums and also my experience.
I tried to do this myself today and there's no option for yourself to change your payment method to using MS account balance (ie. from giftcards). You can change to another credit card or paypal.
I went to their support chat and the first guy was super rude and just told me straight up that there's nothing he can do on his end to help then just left the chat. I then refreshed the page and went into chat again with a different guy who was much more helpful, he did say that he can do that on his end. I wasn't sure what exactly he needed to do on his end, but after about 20 minutes of radio silence he came back and said he was sorry, he couldn't do it. Turns out he had to basically try to put in a new transaction on their system - but obviously it didn't work because it's sold out, the system blocked him from doing that.
So I think it's pretty likely that this won't work, I'll try the chat tomorrow again and update if this works. Because some of the online forums seem to suggest that people had success with this.
@Dr Fruit: Thanks for sharing your story. Like I said I haven't try it myself. I normally redeem all gift card prior order. But I do read online like you said. Good luck.

So to clarify you actually redeemed your cards into your account and it was showing in the balance and still no option to swap the payment?

@Sammyboy: That’s correct. I have enough credit sitting in my account to cover the whole pre-order amount, and it still didn’t work. Honestly yeah probably not worth the risk or hassle.
I do have other uses in mind for my account credit… but if you don’t then this is probably not worth it. Too risky!
@Sammyboy: Tried again today, no luck. Pretty much given up because it takes too much time and explaining the situation over and over to different customer service reps. Thus can't recommend you do this. Pretty sad, as 10% off it would be pretty sweet!

I really wanted one, just because it looks cool and I would be able to sell the current one I have. I also have a 2nd PS5 I just plugged in a day or 2 ago and has only had updates done on it. Would have tried to swap that with one of these with anyone if I could. Wonder if any more will drop but seems unlikely.

30 and 50. also that does not matters as in store you can use as many as you want, they are just like eftpos cards. just do not go there first in the morning and use your 30*22, that would be annoying.
Are you sure you could use multiple ultimate student cards in one transaction at EB? have you done it before?
@Weasel: They are like EFTPOS card. Anywhere allow split payment would be fine. Unless some silly "house rule". I read others did that before and myself did at JB with 20 gc in one transaction.

I have the xbox wireless headset. Works well for me. The headband felt a little tight when I first put it on but it didn't cause issues even after a few hours.

Or maybe it was already sold out, and you somehow managed to order one that was beyond stock limit. Bots can buy in a matter of seconds. So 5 minutes might have too late?
It definitely last longer than 5 mins. This is the only case we know here, many ozbargainers place order later than 10.05.
Placed my order at 10.06 under my EB account and just the 1. My order is still active and not cancelled as of checking right now. I think someone had picked up what you did and cancelled them both either due to quantity limit or potential scalper. I assume cancelling both was your punishment, pretty harsh to be honest. They should have honoured one of them.
Same situation here, ordered two, one for myself and brother in law, from two different EB World accounts, both got cancelled… f@#$

Have you tried calling them? I called this morning and they advised they have system issues and will call me back when possible.
So I purchased a $400 gift card and used the same gift card for the two orders. They said it was flagged as duplicate and can't do anything to reinstate
@lilkid28: maybe you should buy 200x2, and order 1 on conputer, 1 on you phone. won't trigger the system flags.
@lilkid28: next time just order from different retailers. you can get 1 from microsoft at 5 am if you follow the event, or you just follow the twitter, get 1 from JB around 9.30am 1 from EB for 10am.

I just received a response to say only one was cancelled. It's strange, as both accounts show cancelled.

There's millions. Don't waste your breath. Ebay just removes the listing and they can just relist. Don't expect ebay to do the right thing.
There are literally 4 pages of ebay listings for the console. Over 200 consoles (probably 400 depending on the amount each scalper has bought) that are listed :(
Maybe there are over 200 heading to non scalpers. Not everyone of them will post online to let the world know.
