  • Anyone know any good deals for a set of bits? Just looking to do DIY stuff

    • I've ordered this
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/246Pc-Combination-Drill-Bits-Set…

Still trying to work out whether to get this 5pce kit or just the brushless drill and driver combo.

      • Get the five piece kit. Great combo with 2 batteries will have you covered for all the essentials…

      • +2

I'd cancel that order tbh. They will snap dam easy I bet and prob be covered in manufacturing burs. Get a smaller quantity kit or even just buy good quality individuals. At the very least that bosch pack that goes in sale frequently on amazon. Better a Dewalt, Makita or Milwaukee. For best Sutton and Hiti my go to and they have never failed me, especially my Hilti for masonry work

  • Is an "18V impact driver" a hammer drill?

and is the "18V 13mm drill driver" good for using to screw in screws flatpack furniture and stuff around the house?

I had a bosch PCR 14.4v li-2 drill which just died on me. Had it for about 10 years. Don't necessarily need the circular saw or angle grinder but may as well at this price?

    • If DIY, Ozito, AEG or Green bosch. Or if you are medium to pro, Dewalt, Matika, Blue Bosch or Milwaukee.

Impact Driver is not a hammer drill.

      • Just DIY at home, only use a drill once or twice a year for random home maintenance stuff and by no means a handyman!

        • This will serve you well.

  • Placed an order online with a store that has stock. They changed the store (god knows why) then cancelled the order. No email or SMS notification about the cancellation, logged in to their site to find out. No refund received yet.

    • Ooooh, what is going on? Regarding refund - how long have you been waiting for since the cancellation?

      • No idea it was cancelled in the first place (no communications), so I don't know how long it has been cancelled. Haven't received refund.

Their support phone number 1800 797586 says they are experiencing a high volume of calls, and then just automatically hangs up - been trying to get through all day.
Online chat said she's unable to speak to anyone regarding this and will follow up - when asked about refund, she said she doesn't know and will investigate and get back to me.

        • I never call Bunnings hotline number, there will be a waiting time like Centrelink. Next time, you want something from Bunnings, email or call your nearest Bunnings store, not Bunnings hotline..

          • @Dark Zeus: Yes that's the first thing I did… called the store. Forgot to mention it in op.

        • I had a refund before i got notification. Aldi maybe?

I'm getting a "Sorry, we hit a snag!" page. Has this deal ended?

    • +3

Can confirm it's still showing @ $229 in Powerpass so just Bunnings up to their usual shenanigans taking stuff off the website…
I/N is 0195860 if you want to ring your local.

      • Thanks, I rang them. They said that promotional items aren't usually sold online, which probably explains why it was removed. Anyway, they still had 7 in stock at my nearest store.

        • +1

Don't know if that's right since plenty of promo items are online. They seem to have a habit of removing just before it goes on sale at Aldi..

Anyway, at least you got a result of sorts.

  • I'm also getting the "Sorry, we hit a snag!" error

  • Thanks OP, ordered on Sunday night, got an email this morning that it's ready for pickup.

  • Had my order cancelled from being out of stock although I ordered as soon as this went up.

  • Sorry, we hit a snag!

Great,,,they've removed it from their site….

  • Ordered Thursday 26th, still waiting for the order ready to collect email.

  • ordered 29/8. Called store to find out order has been cancelled. Not showing stock in any store either.. I guess I missed out

    • What's the tracking order like?

      • doesn't even show up on tracker. I haven't seen a kit like this so cheap before I guess it makes sence it sold out so quickly. Aldi deal might be the next best

  • I ended up keeping my order. Just picked it up

  • Ozito stuff used to be terrible

The brushless stuff now is better than Ryobi and a couple of other brands IMHO plus supported by a bulletproof 5year warranty
