Good price on this sub-$200 budget tablet. It's the successor to the original iPlay 20 in 2020 and offers Android 11 out of the box. You can checkout a review of the original iPlay 20 by Techtablets here.

Edit: Deal applicable to this bundle with accessories for a little bit more.

One bonus with Alldocube is that they release OTA updates for a lot of their tablets. The latest update for the iPlay 20S was only a week ago on the 21st.

Features included a 10.1" fully laminated IPS display, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage (expandable via MicroSD), Dual SIM, 4G LTE with B28, 6000mAh battery offering 8-9 hours usage, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and powered by the UNISOC SC9863A Octa-Core CPU. It runs a stock Android 11 with minimal bloat.

great price. but just fyi, for those who aren't already aware. device only has widevine L3 (480p max for netflix/amazon prime video) :(

    • +1

      Just pirate all your shows

    • +2

How did you check this device only has widevine L3?

      • Reviews. Looked up specific product/model.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Widevine suggests Widevine L3 is typically is 480p max and L2 typically 540p with L1 without restriction. Haven't tested myself.. anything L1 not ideal for any netflix/amazon/not sure what other streaming services users

    • Actually 576p max for Netflix.

    • Laughs in plex with German hosted bootlegs

  • Is this any good though?

    • If you're after a general use tablet with some light gaming and videos without HD Netflix/Prime then it's fine.

  • What are the alternatives at around the same price or cheaper?

    • a 2nd hand tablet that RRPs for higher. Just look on gumtree and fb marketplace, there's gems to be found

      • Like what?

  • Is it just me that can't select the 6GB version to ship to Aus ? the only one I can select is the 4GB to AUs.

    • Means it's sold out in that combo.

is this better than duet ?

  • Do Alldocube have an 8" device that people could recommend?

  • Ordered from the 2nd link, bundle 4. it's 169.99 for the 6GB with all accessories, -$4 store coupon, -$19 using 8AESELETED19
so with tax ~163USD. that's $25 USD more for the 6GB and all accessories. Prob don't need the extras, nor the tablet itself. but what the heck.

    • Me too… But lockdown drinks… Without the bt keyboard myself.. don't need another eu charger so messaged to see if they can swap it out for something..

SOC/Performance is worse than my 3 year old redmi note 5. No thanks.

  • One bonus with Alldocube is that they release OTA updates for a lot of their tablets. The latest update(alldocube.com) for the iPlay 20S was only a week ago on the 21st.

I'm calling bullshit on this. I just checked my iplay 20 and it hasn't had an update since september last year. Pretty sure it was released 2-3 months before

You clearly read half way and stopped because I literally just linked an update for the iPlay 20S. Here's the firmware updates for the iPlay 20.

That's a shitload more updates than other equivalent brands who release……. nothing.

      • Would be nice, but my tablet never updates and it only wants to work sometimes. Ended up buying a chromebook and not bothering with it.

      • Do the updates actually make it better

        • From what others report they're supposed to fix bugs.

  • Would this thing play goat simulator? I want to buy a cheapy so my cousin can play instead of using my tablet.

  • For those with edu account, is Lenovo P11 ($299) a better buy to this? Obviously approx $100 more.

  • this looks better value if you're after a better soc (around twice as fast)
