Condition is you have to stay connected for 60 days.

    • Thanks, I didn't see that, and I purchased it already, so effectively, it cost me $10 for 28 days and not $1 because I can't satisfy the Cashback conditions of 60+ days connection duration.

"Stay connected" does not mean "must recharge".

      • good point, but in my case I need to be able to make calls out.

      • Hi Neoika! Is this confirmed? So, am I right in saying that total cashback for Shopback will be $9 + $5 Bonus = $14 ?
This looks like worth giving a shot. Just want to be sure that 'staying connected' doesnt mean 'recharging for the second time again'.

        • Have all the comments read in the prevoius post. This is my 3rd order with the mob online this year, hopefully nothing going wrong. But maybe it is impossible to be right?! Faulty SIM seems to be common from online order.

FYI, the purchase today has been tracked.

          • @Neoika: Hi mate,
How long does it take to have your order tracked by SB?

            • @F1ngolf: Just over 2 hrs. Last time under 40 mins.

I ordered from the last vodafone cash back deal 4 weeks ago

    VOdafone still hasn't shipped
    Strongly suggest to avoid

So likely I not only won't get any cashback but alos lost $9

True. Very bad experience. My order from early August was only shipped (delivery awaited) after I contacted their chat support twice and raised a complaint on their website.

      • Yes, I got it in a totally seperate order after contact. Original order is still pending for credit check.

        • why is it pending for credit check isnt this prepaid thus they arent allowed to do a credit check without your permission. i agree bad experience from last deal got sim late and activated it but it and replacement sent were both fualty no service. only when i went to a store yesterday to swap the sim it worked. then had to jump on chat again to change expiry date to get the full 28 days.

          • @coolsteps: I just placed another order for this deal as I want to test out the cause of it. This time I entered my business address starting with Suite number, but in the confirmation email it starts with Unit number. I think there are postal address issues in the VF internal address data base. My early AUG order was sent to a postal address that is relatively newly created in NSW. When it was fed into the VF data base, it could not find its existence. Both my final page after payment and confirmation email have the postal address blanked out at that time. Hence, it was stuck at credit check. Similar thing happened when I activated a Kogan SIM before.

I just tracked the order online and it was processed as normal, not stuck at credit check.

TL;DR version: Only use long existing address for delivery as there are issues within VF internal address data base.

  • OP. If you are a SIM jumper like me. I manage 5 SIM jumpers for my family members. This is a better deal.
You need to activate the SIM within 18 months after purchasing it.

    • Hi Lone star,

I am a intermittent SIM jumper. So I tend to go for 12 months Postpaid contract with a discounted new phone from JB/TGG/HN(24m if it was a good deal) and use 1-6 months prepaid SIM to wait for the best deal to execute the best 12 Months contract. (i.e my wife recently got the $900 discount on the iphone for the $99 telstra plan through JB, and use 10% discounted gift cards for the remainder balance payable)

I did use felixmobile for my wife once, but I didn't like vodafone network when compared with Telstra (1st tier IMO) or Optus (2nd tier IMO).

I do this because I do like a new phone once a year to share between my family of 4. So this would mean we can all use a new phone at least once every 2-3 years. (my kids use prepaid sim only)

    • I also did use circles.life once, luckily without a hitch that some people had (it just took a bit like 7 days to port out, which caused and extra month's charge to occur). So I steer clear from that group because I don't like to risk losing my mobile number by some unfortunate mistake by circles.life.

    • It can be used as ISP?

  • +1

Cashrewards also give the same 90% cashback …

    Cheers ..

PS: But the 30 days activation and 60 days being active still remain the same ..

    • SB has a $5 VF bonus offer in the APP.

      • Damn, I didn't notice that… I activated it after I purchased the SIM.. I don't know if that would be applied…

But still that 60 days stay sucks … I would prefer not to stay active spending another $70 to save this $9+$5 … Instead can hop on to another provider …

        • I never port my prime number to it.

  • can one just choose long life when activating sim and still get the $9 cash back thus qualifying for 60 days or does it have to be activated as being on 50GB/28 Days ?

    • you mean the PAYG?

    • I don't think so, but I think after you activate it with the 50GB/28 days plan, you have a option to recharge on a different plan.

  • yes

  • CB rate dropped to 73.5%.

    • 25%

  • Just purchase this sim, but I haven't received the shopback confirmation email yet.

I just started using the shopback chrome addon and click the activate button instead of the usual going to shopback website and then vodafone. Will this cause issues?

    • These days, I usually use the Shopback app when it is not excluded. The in app click through never failed me once.

The chrome extension sometime doesn’t work. I missed out on one amazon tracking because of chrome extension

    • Why not buy from Woolies Mobile with 100% cashback? This deal is technically finished with the lowered cashback. Just allow 4 hrs for tracking, only 25% back now.

      • ooooh Doh!
