The same price as the PCCG one.

    • How? Can’t see it

      • +3

PCCG had both this card (ASUS), and the Inno3d ($849) listed, but out of stock. Both are now no longer listed, so I guess this one from PLE (was) the cheapest. Guess prices will just go up again.

  • At first got excited, but recommended PSU 750W.
Bit hard but not impossible in a typical SFF build.

    • +16

There's no way it needs a 750w PSU.

It will be fine with a 550w, even less should be fine. The 3060ti draws ~200w.

      • Yeah - I am running a GTX770 in one minitower PC on 550W with no problems, but even 550W in a cheap ex-corporate SFF?

        • +1

If you can run a 770 then it should run a 3060ti with no issues as it uses less power (770 ~230w VS 3060ti ~200w).

It only has a single 8pin connector which can supply 150w, with an extra ~75w from the PCIE connector.

          • @studentl0an: Agree, but PSUs are limited in a SFF setup. Unless you go external.

            • +1

@wetwork: I mean there are 850w SFX PSUs available these days, and most high end gaming systems run fine on a good 600w. I wouldn't say PSUs are usually the limiting factor.

        • I ran a 1080Ti in a shuttle SX79R5 and that only had a 500w bronze PSU (and an i7-3930K).

      • depending on CPU and other components, and decent gold rated 550 would be fine,

Gamers Nexus debunk the power supply size thing very well here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_wtoCBahhM

I've got a 5900x + 3080ti running off a 750w psu without any issues. Only way you're going to require a 750w psu for this gpu is if you are also using it to power you kettle, refrigerator & heater.

    • Corsair sf550 will be more than sufficient. The recommended wattage is way over-inflated to cover the card manufacturer's asses.

    • i'm running a zotac 3060 ti off a 650w bronze psu no problem

    • Depend on the case , nr200 can fit 850w sff psu easily , but fit with 3080 and custom water cooling that’s hard

    • nVidia recommend 600W for the 3060ti. They recommend 750W for the 3080.

nVidia build their recommendations on users doing something like using it with an i9 as well. You can get away with less than what they recommend if you're running a mid-range ryzen, since you likely won't be loading the case up with drives either.

    • My RTX 3070 ran fine with a 500w platinum PSU so i think you'll be fine

    • 750w can run a 3090 tho…

    • I'm running 6 of these on a 1200w Server PSU, no way you need 750w

    • I'm running a rtx 3080 and a ryzen 5900x on a 750watt platinum sfx unit.

My brother is also running a 3080 and a 5800x on a 600watt platinum sfx unit.

If you have a quality rated psu you should be perfectly fine.

    • We run these with a 5600X on a 400W HDPLEX AC-DC + DC-DC combo. We have more issues with cooling (being limited to ~40mm cooler height) than we do with being limited by the PSU.

    • they are talking about fake 750w chinese PSUs

not actual PSU that are capable of 750w

500w will be more than enough as long as it's actually capable of 500w - ie stick to a reputable brand not the cheapest highest wattage no-name psu that sells for $30 but claims it's 700w

    what is the hash rate?

    • +1

It's LHR so shouldn't be as efficient as 6600xt

    • -1

3060ti on nicehash is not bad, not dissimilar to 3070 LHR ~$4.50/day

  • +1

    Get in quick before OOS
Price has been increased and not expecting this price much any more

  • Any performance diff with full size 3060ti?

    • -3

      Dyor

    • thermals and noise thats about it.

      edit: clock speeds

      • Probably won't clock quite as high either but it won't be a big difference.

        • yeah around 100mhz below asus OC version. It's a decent card for the price in today's market if you can put up with the loud fans

          • +1

@techie8055: I guess you could strap a couple of NF-A9x14s to it for an extra like $50 to improve thermals.

Edit: Good lord those fans are expensive. But you get the point.

            • +1

@Void: or you can just set up a negative pressure fan config and sacrifice a few degrees on the cpu for better gpu thermals

            • @Void: Use the p12’s only $7.50

              • @ATangk: Yeah but they're thick and might not fit on the mini card without wasting heatsink area.

  • +2

    aaand its gone

  • Christ that didn't take long to go OOS

  • This product is not available to buy individually online.

  • What would it cost at non-covid prices

  • -7

Still HODL, it getting cheaper and cheaper…

    • +3

I ordered my card from Scorptec over 3 weeks ago, arrived today, same price as this one. Also about $200 cheaper than any other 3060 ti on the market at the moment.

Enjoy your HODL, I have a day off today and have nothing to do but play games all day. Zero regrets.

Pretty much giving up on trying to upgrade from my 970.

    • Yep, I'm just going to set up FSR instead. Still probably won't cut it for VR sadly.

      • I might have to just turn into a filthy console gamer.

  • uhhhh… i already ordered this from WA PLE on August 12

    Still in "under processing".

Is it even really in stock?

    • I am thinking the same. Awaiting processing and ETA is 30/08/21

      • nvm i just got a sms today and have since picked it up.

Must have been a stock drop today with some excess

        • Yeah got mine too. Enjoy

  • Honestly i give up waiting for 3070 to be at this price, i would of bought this :(

  • Is the Dual Mini (not OC) much better than the RX 6600 XT, which can be found around $650-$700? I understand the full size 3060 TI is about 20% better than the RX 6600 XT, but unsure about the Dual Mini version.

Also there are good RX 6600 XT cards at decent prices, such as the Sapphire Pulse or XFX Merc with good cooling and relatively quiet. Could somebody please comment on whether this Asus Dual Mini card runs hot or noisy?

    • +2

It's roughly proportional to the price difference. IIRC MERC 308 was like $709 at PLE not long ago.

Edit: QICK 308 is on preorder for $30 cheaper than the MERC 308, the main difference being no lighting and a plastic shroud rather than aluminium. Just bear in mind that you'll need PCIe 4.0 for the 6600 XT otherwise it'll be bandwidth bottlenecked.

      • Have you seen reviews for the 6600XT? It can be undervolted and overclocked to the point where cooling solutions don't really matter. It runs around 100w undervolted and overclocked so spending extra money on a massive heatsink and heaps of fans is just a waste of cash.

Bandwidth bottleneck with PCIE3 was ~5% with only Doom Eternal being higher than 10% (not even Cyberpunk or Red Dead Redemption 2 has more than 5%. 5% is a non issue to most people.

        • Damn the way everyone else was telling it the 6600 XT is totally gimped by PCIe 3.0. I guess not.

I'd still go for an XFX, Sapphire or PowerColor card though anyway just because they're around the same price or $10 more than the lower tier cooers.

    • Honestly for me I went the 6600xt
Circa 700 for a really good 1080p card that I can mine on at low power/heat to recoup some costs

  • +1

Been running the one I bought for this price from PCCG. Fantastic card.

    • +1

      good to hear

  • Managed to grab one of these before they went OOS on the day.

Has anyone received any update on their orders?

    • Ordered on 30/8 and picked up 30/8. You get yours yet?

      • No not yet as i'm in NSW. The guys at PLE were helpful tho and let me know it needed to get from WA to VIC to NSW so unfortunately would be delays given the circumstances. Hopefully won't take too long…
