  • Awesome quality

    • I have 3 SE really made me want to try sonic.

      • +3

Don't. The Sonic is not good. I hate the tinfoil sound.

        • Bass and long battery life may be good for movie.

          • +2

@superforever: The battery life is good, but don't expect much bass out of the tinfoil sound. The Achilles' heel for the Sonic is the sound.

            • @[Deactivated]: I have the opposite problem - the sub bass was far too much and too boomy for me, to the point I had to use AutoEQ to reduce it. The only annoyance I have with it now is that the tips keep detaching from the buds and getting stuck in my ear when I try to take them out.

              • @psyren89: My biggest gripe with the se3 is actually the pairing since it uses Bluetooth 4.2 and tends to randomly switch into mono mode.

Something the true air 2 I have doesn't do which uses Bluetooth 5.2

I'm guessing the sonics will have the same Bluetooth chipset as the true air 2

                • @r33tom: What device do you have that's using BT 5.2? Also what does BT 5.2 do that fixes this?

      • I went to sonic after I lost the charging case for my 3Se's.

Don't do it. They are considerably quieter to an excessive extent (to the point where I thought they were faulty but was informed that they are just like this). The 3SE's were a far superior sounding bud aside from the volume as well.

      • I really enjoyed the sound of the 3 SE. but the pairing quality is rubbish and made it very difficult to use.

        • but the pairing quality is rubbish

I have no issue, what kind of pairing you have ? aptX or SBC, AAC?

Try use developer options to change it.

      • I have the 3SE, Sonic and H1. The only benefit to the Sonic is perhaps the low latency mode, otherwise it's not my favourite of the 3. The button controls are a minus - touch is much better. Volume is really really low.

The only other buds I'm interested is the T2 for ANC. 3SE remains my favourite.

        • Since you have the H1's, got a few questions, firstly volume wise, are they louder than the 3SE? as i own the 3SE, love the extra sound for movies / tv shows (which is what i mainly use them for),

How about sound quality, is it superior to 3SE, as well as soundstage?

    Game mode

    🤦‍♂️

    • What's wrong with game mode? It's a neat feature to lower latency, even on non-APTx enabled bluetooth dongles.

ive had these for the last 6 months. sound quality is great, microphone is hit and miss. mainly use them for the gym and running, never fall out. if they could go up another 5% in volume that would be nice. battery life is amazing.

  • +1

All current sound peats still suffer from left bud stop working on and off. Seems to be just a matter of luck and time.

    • still suffer from left bud stop working on and off.

I am not sure but I tried a few soundpeats never have this problem, only happened to my old xiaomi.

      • +2

I am a sucker for BT earbuds, I have had TrueFree, TrueAir, TrueAir 2, TrueCapsule, TrueEngine 2. Every single one of the had the same issue, presented at different times. I also had replacements for the TrueAir and TrueFree that also had the issue. I also feel that the massive drop in sound quality was never really worth the savings but they were nice for workout/running etc when you don't care about sound quality at all

        • Interesting as I don't have the issue with the true air 2 since it's Bluetooth 5.2. does your phone support Bluetooth 5.2?

I always have issues with the 3se

          • @r33tom: Work S21U does, no difference :-S
Barely any phones have 5.2 though

        • You could have bought one great instead of multiple mediocre ones

          • @ow: I haven’t found any truly great ones. Love my Samsung buds live and AirPods though. Not a huge fan of inner ear canal buds, I can wear them for short bursts. Much prefer headphones and speakers though

        • I've had the same issue with TruePods as well.

    • I've owned a pair of SoundPEATS earbuds for 3 years and counting and they still work perfectly fine? What model is yours?

  • +1

I have these, they are nice with decent battery life but after about 6 months, the silver paint is starting to scratch and wear off.

  • +1

For a set of cheap buds for gym or work they will do the job

  • No ANC right?

  • +3

These don't have Bluetooth 5.2, but 5.0. And contrary to what the Amazon listing says, they don't have active noise cancellation.

    • Even if they did have ANC, it would still have a minimal effect, since it's such a cheap item.

    • Also interested to know! Life Dot 2 get a great review!
