Eagle… why aren't any good AIBs at decent-ish prices :(

    • +1

      What's wrong with Eagle?

      • +3

It's Gigabyte's lowest cooler tier. They recently had a problem on the AMD side with leaking thermal pads IIRC and even without problems the cooler is just cheap. The fans are a bit noisy.

        • +6

Yeah and don't buy Gigabyte power supply, they actualy explode.

          • +5

@Betfair the best: For the record I'm not saying don't buy a Gigabyte GPU, most of their other cards for Ampere and RDNA2 are pretty decent, just try to avoid the Eagle if it's not too costly.

MSI MECH OC 6600 XT $589 delievered from kogan is way better value than this. But good luck trying to find it for that much again. Nvidia is way too over priced still. that 3060 ti video card should be the about 699 at the most.

  • +2

    good luck mate

  • -6

for miners, nbminer can squeeze 42.81Mh/s from this. so its roughly 20$ per hash. not bad

    • Did they break through the LHR?

      • +3

Not quite. That's about 75% of the performance the card should be getting. But it's still better price to perf wise than the 6700 XT despite being gimped.

        • -1

you do know even people are showing in benchmarks the 6600XT its able to match a 3060 ti in alot of games, the 6700xt I would assume would destroy the 3060 ti.

      These "gamers"!

  • From my experience, PLE's ETA is almost never correct.

    • +1

from my experience, it's usually faster lol. Came several day ahead of the ETA for me.

      • Damn. This Covid shipping is so unpredictable.

        • I think it might have to do with the supplier as well, I got the EVGA card. Could also just be lucky…

    Ripped off. HOLD.

    • What’s a fair price for this model?

      • -3

        $650

        • +7

          Tell him he's dreaming

          • @KapitaneXtreme: in 2 months time, it will be this price.

            • +3

              @kml22: i will bet $200 it won't if you're keen

            • +1

@kml22: unfortunately the prices are expected to rise soon due to TSMC throwing 10-20%, tho unsure if it affects NVIDIA completely for 3xxx series or the future 4xxx series.

        • +2

Even at launch this model non lhr was $749+postage

  • Looks like WA only getting stock

  • +1

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd its gone

  • gone! already

  • Sorry lads, all snapped up. GG.

  • +1

Thanks OP, I managed to order one to replace my msi 1070. Now let’s see about their ETA.

  • gone! Thanks to OzB search alert that notified me after it was gone

    • Happened to me a couple of times recently mate, I've started checking Static Ice on the regular to get ahead of the curve

      • How do you filter out the hundreds of out of stock results from static ice?

  • Ye my mate ordered a PC recently, took him 1.5 months to get an update, then took another 2 weeks to get it…

  • What does Ti stand for?

    • +1

      Titanium. Pronounced 'Tie', not 'Tea-Eye'.

      • +2

Ti is the chemical symbol for Titanium.

Wouldn't it make more sense to pronounce it the same way as you would the chemical symbol? (Tea-Eye)

        • +1

It's a meme from the announcement trailer. One of the Nvidia officials pronounced it 'Tie', and it has been a joke in the community since. Yes, it is commonly known as 'Tea-Eye' lol.

      Tiny improvement.

  • Mostyl I see "This product is not available to buy individually online."
How can I buy one then, are they expecting to build Pc from them?
New to australian market, please advice me

    • It means sold out. You have to be fast to get one, deals like this sell out in 5 minutes.

    • They probably turned it off as they're unsure if they'll have enough stock to fulfil those orders
If you urgently need to buy one got to get in fast or buy from those scalpers

I don't feel this is a bargain. I feel like posting a preorder of something with virtually no ETA is a bit annoying. Your post but just my opinion, and I think people would agree with me on this.

  • +1

ok need to make an alert

  • This is the card to get while the apes are stuck on integrated graphics.
