Power Force Disinfectant 1.25l $1.99 @ ALDI

80

Aldi version of Pine-o-Clean for $1.99. I have used this one for about 2 years to mop my tiled floors and find it on par with Pine-o-Clean.

Is disinfectant needed for mopping tiles?

I just use a few drops of dishwashing soap in hot water for my tiled floors.

I get disinfectant needed for toilets, but wouldn't have thought tiles. I would have thought more the dish soap to actually remove dirt/grime/grease?

I do love Aldi's version of Domestos though - so cheap!!

For shower screens/tiles I first use a light scourer with Bar Keepers Friend, to remove scum/build up, followed up by a wash down with a little bleach and dishsoap. Comes up amazing.

I use this for multiple purposes. I also mix it into a spray bottle and use it for my kitchen benches, toilets, sinks, gas top etc. Never tried dishwashing liquid for the floor.

Agree on Aldi's Domestos too. Very cheap and equally as good if not better.

  • Can I wash my hands with these?

    • You can, but should you?

  • This leaves some kind or residue when mopping, where as Pine 'O' Clean doesn't.

  • Bought Woolworths equivalent disinfectant for $1.25 today.

Stop drinking the aldi kool-aid folks

Also bought a six pack of avocadoes for $4 at Woolworths
Also bought 12x 1L milk for $1.25 each at Woolworths
Was also presented with a huge array of deli cheeses and sliced meats served by a friendly person at Woolworths

Also noticed recently that my super fund holds Woolworths shares, couldn't see any ALDI - limited partnership shares

My 1975 pay slip from coles new world had this on the reverse - "It pays to shop where you earn" - true in 2021

Aldi is good different. Without them you probably would have paid more for those items at Woolworths.

      Competition is good for consumers.

      Get over yourself.

We OzBargainers go to whoever offers the best price without sacrificing quality. It could be Woolies one week, ALDI the next or Coles.
Yes, there are a fair few rubbish products at ALDI special buys but there are some bargains. Read the reviews, and judge for yourself.

I have also found prices at Costco that are way cheaper than anywhere else. But I don't go and drink the Costco kool-aid afterwards.

  • I like ALDI's dishwashing liquid as well Off-topic … but I used to buy Aldi's version of Jif Creme cleanser but then they changed their formula to something more watery and was using so much to get the same result. Gone back to Jif now.
