    $549 at Scorptec.
    Try again.

EDIT - Scorptecs sale is on the older version. So if you want the updated model, this is still a deal I guess. Removing my neg.

This is probably the 2nd gen nano ips tech so it's kinda different from 27GL83A imo.

  • good monitors are still so expensive :/

Not really. Take a look at the Dell S2721DGF. Can be had for <$400 and is a brilliant monitor.

      • +5

Yea it's almost identical for $200 less. I bought S2721DGF for $359 on Ebay EOFY sale and it's brilliant.

For anyone considering - this is G-sync compatible, it does NOT have a G-sync module. This might be relevant for some.

Dell S2721dgf is probably a better buy if you get it on sale like the recent $399 deals.

Going from a G-sync to a G-sync compatible monitor (XB271HU to S2721dgf) I've noticed no discernible difference in variable refresh rate experience.

The Dell does not have an SRGB clamp mode, which means SRGB content can looks over-saturated. Skin tones can be over-pink or sometimes over-orange.

I have a 34GN850 and the SRGB mode makes desktop work far nicer on the eyes, and then can go into wider gamut for games where it helps.

Dell still an EXCELLENT buy even with the lack of SRGB clamping for desktop use. It uses the same LG Nano-IPS panel.

Good point. Another thing to consider depending on use case. No issues for me using the s2721dgf for desktop work but I'm also not doing anything colour critical.

Another minor point is that the LG version natively downscales 4K content to 1440p through HDMI. The Dell technically can, but its HDMI EDID table doesn't allow for 4K input, you need an EDID emulator.

Relevant if you want to use a PS5 or PS4 on it.
