      99c cheaper than Game Traders

Wouldn't really say they were considerably cheaper…

Another set was only $3 cheaper than JB Hifi. which could be reduced through discounted gift cards.

How much are you going to spend?!!

      • Ha. About $300. Buying 4 of the similar stocked items gave a 15% discount which was the big kicker!

        • Did you end up buying? Might consider 151 as well from them

          • @cyrax83: Not yet. Haven't had any confirmation on the legitimacy of it yet. Prices are so tempting and PayPal is available. Should be fine I guess?

            • @CustardShot: Let me know what you find. I did a google street search and they do seem to have a store front

    • Wouldn't it be better waiting once in hand and for sales? Apparently there is going to be lots of stock

ABN not listed on their website and no .au domain so not sure on that front.

Looks like an established business, though make sure you pay with PayPal/Protection just in case. It's only a 14hr drive for you to their store front, so maybe a weekend road trip?

    • Yes, they are legitimate business. I've bought a few things from them before.

      • Interesting that you bring this up almost three months after it was asked. Do you work for them?

        • +1

Hey so I can actually confirm they're real! They didn't have enough stock of what I ordered, so they refunded the stuff that they didn't get stock of and shipped out the stuff they got enough stock of. This was all the 151 pokemon cards set, so I can't speak on any of their other items, but they fulfilled my order as best they could, I guess.

  • Is jackdeal.com.au legit?

    • Grey import at the very least. They're based in HK

  • Merged from Anyone Heard of OZReviews.au. Is This Site Legit?

Has anyone heard of this site ozreviews.au? Seems to be like Choice.

I saw they awarded best multipurpose tiles to flexspec.com.au in 2023 but can't find the article.

  • Merged from Is this Tour Company in Indonesia Legit?

Hi guys, I was browsing the web for deals to Komodo Island in Indonesia and discovered this website:

How can I be 100 percent sure this is not a scam?

Looks like standard middle-man travel agent that’s probably charging you 10/20/50% extra, then deferring to another local company and taking the difference.

There’s no guarantees in these countries.

There are no mediators between Lestacworld Holiday Planners and the real service that is given to you. Indonesia is full of dodgy operators who can't wait to separate a fool from his money. When I went to Komodo in 2012, I simply flew to Labuan Bajo from Bali and organised tours after I got there. It was pretty easy to do and way cheaper. Komodo and Rinca were very touristy and that was then so I can't imagine how worse it's gotten now. All the dragons on the island seemed to congregate near the main pier where I saw Indonesian tourists feeding them snacks. Apparently the animals have become accustomed to it. The beaches on some of the other nearby islands were much better to check out.

  • Merged from Is Quantum AI just another scam?

I see an advert about quantum AI and was wondering if it was easy as they say to make money or is it just a total scam?

Has anyone here invested in it?

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

    • If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Yep. Generally sound advice to follow whenever dealing with finance stuff.

Another good piece of advice would be to avoid anything that's trying to get you to buy it by using a bunch of buzzwords stuck together (e.g. "Quantum", "AI").

    • Quantum AI is not a scam , but algo trading bot investment is likely a scam.

    • +1

Have to wonder why they wouldn't just keep it a secret if it really was a reliable way to make money. Or exclusively provide it to people like Buffet for 50 million dollars each.

    • Lol just google "quantum ai" and see how many sites come up saying "official website"

      Wow…

  • Merged from Verification of eBay Seller's Authenticity

Is there any way to verify if items from this eBay seller are genuine? I am planning to buy a Seagate IronWolf Pro 12TB from the seller.

      Yes

    • The items listed are in loose packaging, and 'Pro' is not mentioned in the prominent heading at the top but is only found in the small description underneath.

    • Is that a seller from China reporting that the item is Made In China when the real ones are Made in Thailand?

      • Yes, their profile is in China in the profile about section.

Yes, they are made in Thailand, as we experienced during the floods some decade ago now.

        and the cherry on top..

        Postage:
Free eBay Standard. See detailsfor delivery
        Located in: Australia

which is a violation of eBay site rules to post an incorrect location. (eBay won't do anything about it of course, can't expect them to enforce their own rules.. but hey, worth noting)

    • Is there such thing as a fake Seagate?

      • There are fake military jet parts… so think about it.

  • Merged from Anyone bought from this eBay seller (mujitech8)?

      Location: China

      Red flag from me.

      • Yeah, plenty of red flags, and I just noticed that the post before mine was for the same seller (albeit with a different number at the end of their name). How could they have so many positive reviews if their products were fake?

        • Fake reviews? Fake accounts? By all means roll the dice if you think it’s worth.

  • I applied for a job at Freiya.com.au through seek. I didn’t attend an interview at their premises but did it over the phone however got the job and they asked for all my identification details eg the typical paperwork needed when applying as a support care worker eg driver license , etc employee details.
They said there was a job a week after then said there wasn’t a job when the day got closer. Then I decided to check if they are ndis registered and they are not but they do have a company . I messaged them that I couldn’t find them in ndis registered and they didn’t reply. Also they registered me on shiftcare app and after asking them the questions I cannot access the shift care app.
So I’m now afraid they have all my identification to use if they are scammers .
So can someone check if these company is legit ?

      Google reviews seem suss

      • thanks for that, it does seem suss, I contacted seek and questioned about this company last week and waiting for their reply. Im just so worried my whole identification especially as a support worker you have to give drivers license, car comprehensive insurance, vehicle rego, superannuation, tax file number, police check numbers, working with children check, bank account details, everything has been exposed.

  • Merged from Have You Ever Used MyDeal.com? Is It Trustworthy?

I can’t seem to work it out as far as legitimacy goes.

I’ve been chasing some headphones for a while now, after a quick google to check sales i found the cheapest by woolworths (weird?) but sold via mydeal.com

After a quick search of mydeals website i found the headphones $20 cheaper again + $10 off for purchases over $75.

Is it a website i can trust to pull the trigger on this purchase?

Any help/experiences would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers!

Is honeygain.com a legit website for making money online by using spare bandwith?

  • Merged from Anyone know of or bought from www.newbikes-au.com.

While looking for a womens budget bike either a commute or mountain bike I came across the above site. Bikes heavily discounted. Is this a scam site? I could not find out any info to give me comfort so I contacted PayPal as site is a merchant too see if they are on their radar from people claiming purchase protection. Well that was useless they just said buy it and if there is a problem they may reimburse and directed me to the T&C's.
Missed out on the Factory 27.5 inch bike but that would have been ideal…I think.

What don't you understand? If you can't figure out that is a scam site just from the web address, let alone the pricing, we have a serious problem teaching critical thinking, or basic life skills, in this country.

You should buy a Ferrari from my website, only $10k. It's cheapferrari-au.notscam

    • Word of advice, don't. Note that this is not a true Australian domain. Also, if you even end up getting anything, you will get what you pay for which is likely to be scrap.

97 dollars for Carbon Alloy Composite (random bike I checked) is a huge red flag, note that there are brake levers that cost more than 97 dollars, soo this doesn't make sense

      • Also $300 e-bikes. Huge red flags for me to…as there are lots of bike riders here thought I check to see if anyone has come across them.

    • Their contact page says their address is:

      6 Purcell Place
      HEIFER STATION NSW, Australia
      2460

      • Likely fake address, as there are two separate addresses shown.
      • The Suburb/Post Code shows rural farming.
      • The websites DNS has been active for 7 months.
      • There is no ABN listed.
      • There is no phone listed.
      • It is not an AU domain.
      • Checked that as well. Also checked 'scam website checkers' but no red flags reported.

    • Almost definitely a scam, but for that price I'd buy it on CREDIT CARD and charge back if required.

      • +1

That is why I contacted paypal, said I think scam site and they just said buy it and if there is an issue lodge buyers protection claim. The next question is has anyone had success with paypal reimbursement?

  • Hey guys, I've never come across this site before, whenever I search for the best price of Nexgard Spectra chews.

Due to the amount of websites and the lack of business information, I'd stay clear. It is likely that they're just a dropshipper as they state that on their website that they source from around the world so packaging might be different. So, it's likely they're sourcing these from a cheaper country and sending out from there. Gamble with quality control? Who knows!

      • Yeah, I just put an order through with PetPA instead. Don't want to gamble with my dog's welfare.

I also went to their site and it kinda matches the premises, didn't see anything about prices being in USD though?
Might be dodgy or might be just some young guy trying to get ahead by operating out of his garage?

Place an order and let us know what happens, use paypal so if you don't get the item at least you can get a refund.

They are selling the profitec pro 600 for $1679 while JetBlackEspresso are selling it for $3999. Kinda rings alarm bells to me.
