  • Is there a way to get this deal even if not a student?
(as a matter of fact I am a student of another overseas uni but I can only buy in the country of such Uni that is not in Australia..)

You only need access to a .edu.au email address.

      • not my case unfortunately. different domain..

      1. Ask for help from someone with .edu.au email.
      2. Sign up for Open University Australia courses, get edu.au email, link it to samsung account, withdrawal from the courses and get refund.

I don't really want to go through the process of a refund.. is there any free course?

    • there are free TAFE courses on offer, just search for it with the ozb search bar above. sign up (and do the course I guess) and you'll have an .edu.au email.

I don't know how long that email address stays active for though, does anyone have the answer to this?

      • I subscribed to a random one in NSW but I can't find the edu.au email.
Are you sure any courses will give you the edu.au email?

        Cheers

        • yup, it'll end with @studytafensw.edu.au. There was actually a course I was semi interested in (so lazy to do the fortnightly quizzes though!) so I signed up, then yesterday i successfully got into this Samsung education store with that email.

From the email correspondence I got from them, it looks like they send you a user ID and temp password, then I had to set up my student account. Then got an email titled "Congratulations, your student account is active!" and in the body it said

"Your TAFE NSW student account is set up and ready to go.
          Your student account details

Your TAFE NSW User ID is: xxxxxx
Your TAFE NSW email address is: [email protected]"

  • Thanks, was waiting for this.

  • Cheers, bought on the Government Samsung store.

    • Hi there, do you recall pricing on the Govt store for the 42mm classic?

      • Sorry, wrong post, but if you have access, could you please let me know if you see pricing for the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm? Thank you.

      • $384.30

        $454.30 - LTE

    • Cant seem to find the link to preorder. Help please

Are these or the Bud Pros a better deal?

I have the original Galaxy Buds but want something with better ANC.

    • I read that ANC is better on the Pro. Pro also have a better IP for waterproofness.
For the rest the buds 2 seems to be a better choice.

NOTE: this is just what I read, not sure if real

    • The fit on the Pro are not great, it's not that they're ever uncomfortable, but they constantly fall out of my ears. I'd wait to see reviews on these say that they've improved that.

      • +1

Bummer is that these seem just as prone to falling out of your ears - they are already out overseas.

if all you are doing is lifting, then yeah these are great. for running though…. not so much. i've tried different insert sizes and they just won't stay in after a half mile. the touch function then becomes a hassle since you always have to push them back into the ears, you'll end up skipping/pausing songs, turning the volume up/down, and turning the ambient sound on/off when you don't intend to. good luck using the touch features with sweaty hands.

will not stay in my ears. keeps falling out. especially when working out. the galaxy buds where way better in terms of staying in my ear.

the earbuds are smaller and more round. pretty much 0 edges. this causes them to fall out very easily regardless of what size insert you use. mic quality feels lower. audio quality is pretty much the same or i didn't notice a difference. they removed the rubber ring from around the ear which made the earbud never move. lastly not all the functions work the same. my biggest dislike of the functions is that now you cant use ambient sound while only 1 earbud is in. this can be changed in software updates but its just not good. im a person that wears 1 earbud and so this function was super useful to me. i think that you are better off getting the galaxy buds+ rather than the buds2. the design is better and the functions are better. i returned mine and got buds+

it doesn't fit very well, it keeps on sliding out after a little bit. even with the right ear bud size. samsung needs to add a second piece of equipment to keep it from slipping out of your ear. i may return the headphones.

Each of those were seperate reviews but wouldn't let me format each into their own block

        • It'd be nice if someone made a glue-on or friction-fit rubber wings accessory.

          • @JS1: Well they had them on the original galaxy buds and buds +, not sure why they went away from that.

      • Hmm falling out of your ears pretty much makes it not fit for purpose.

        • If I'm just sitting at my desk, they're fine and the mic is really good for meetings. But even chewing food can cause them to become loose.

      • For me, it fits perfectly to the point I forgot they were on one time and went to the volume knob of my speakers to turn up the volume.

They have different ear tips sizes in which I switch to the smallest one, so YMMV.

        • I've tried all the ear tips and they definitely do make a difference when you use the right one, but they still fall out of my ears when I'm moving about. I still use them all the time because they're otherwise very good earbuds, but just disappointing I can't exercise with them.

  • Buy 2 and save $25 each?
Edit: actually need to buy 2 and something sort of $50 more

Unfortunately, $50 code doesn't work as it has minimum spend of $350.

    • It would have to be a triple threat match to make use of the code. Maybe get 3 and sell the other 2 for cost? plenty of normies that would pay for that?

  • Thanks OP. Got the Watch3 44mm and the headphones so I could use the $50 off code.

  • Sent them an email.
    Never got the $50 code

    • Get onto a chat with Samsung representative. They will help to sort it out for you. I got mine in 1 hour or so after not getting it for 3+ days

  • Oh yay, I can use this + galaxy watch and won't have to add in chargers to make it to $350

  • Well, it's same price with Westpac offer too! Just checked!

  • Good deal! If only the case was black. Doesn't fit into my edc colour palette.

  • Got a lavender one. Thanks!!

    • -2

Well I hope you don't try to smell it, because it's certainly doesn't smell like lavender hehehe. 😉

  • Comment from Samsung when my code didn't work for the $50 when spending over $350

"I am sorry to say that as per the terms and conditions of the promotion the Marketing Opt In Voucher is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer including EPP store discounts unless stated otherwise"

    • +1

That's strange. I bought my Watch 4 classic from EPP and used the $50 voucher code. Purchased on Aug 30th.

      • Did you get a voucher via email or did you have to follow up and get one sent manually?

        • Followed up and got the voucher code by email soon.

  • Should i upgrade from buds pro to this one ?

    • No, that's a downgrade. These are meant to be a replacement for the original Buds.

      • Why do you think it's a downgrade?

  • Any one interested in this deal or other deals in Samsung EPP, please PM me. Let me see what I can do for you

  • The Pro has slightly better sound and bass.
But the Bud2 has a better fit and is cheaper.
I personal would go with the Sony, they have the best bass and ANC.
