Yay, a device that moves leaves and rubbish as far as to the neighbour's plot and pollute surroundings with noise and dust.

    • I use mine to just blast stuff into the road. And the noise terrifies the local ne'er-do-wells so they don't bother me.

  • Was funny watching the blower obsessed neighbour get harshly verballed last month about his Sunday morning 7am blower usage, and all the other random times he uses it through the week.

Every single neighbour in our area wouldn’t piss on the blower bloke if he was on fire, he is universally hated. A selfish moron.

I'll do 7am Sunday if I have to. Working 5 days a week and having very young and dependent kids means I do things at weird hours as a necessity. Eg: hanging out washing at 11pm.

I only had to start that after having multiple kids though.

I'm guessing that's not him, but just to present the other point of view and make people think before they condemn their neighbours.

Check the local council laws before such a dick move. You might be busy, but that doesn't mean you can just land a chopper in a residential area in the middle of the night.

      • In NSW, if a neighbour can hear that from within their house, that's a no-no before 8am on a Sunday(7am on Saturday is okay legally, but still a bit rude)

My kids used to wake me up at 5:30am, thankfully for my neighbours I'm not some entitled prat who believes the rest of the world needs to fit in with my schedule.

Hang the washing whenever you like but keep the power tool noise to reasonable times champ.

You come and do it if you have so much time.

Don't care if i get negged. It's rare that I'd do it at bad times, maybe twice a year day before a birthday party or whatever. Anyone negging has no concept of how little time a full time worker with multiple kids has.

Now, whilst you're at it, I also don't bug my neighbor by complaining that his wooden fire makes my kids clothes stink of smoke. Nor that the only sht i clean from my gutter is his jacaranda. I figure its his right to have those to my detriment.

PS: what I'm blowing is his fkn jacaranda leaves in my backyard.

Couldn't expect much else with that attitude I guess. Just because someone has consideration for their neighbours doesn't mean they're going to do your housework.

Anyone negging has no concept of how little time a full time worker with multiple kids has.

…or they just get on with the task of raising kids without putting it on the rest of society. Don't know where you are but we're all struggling with lockdowns and home schooling and tensions are high. Take some time for yourself whenever you can…it's worth it.

    • I've had a neighbour come stomping over to complain at me for mower noise after 9am on a Tuesday. Woke her up apparently. She doesn't do the work thing. No idea why she thought 10am was too early.

      • +1

She sounds like a nutter - 9am on a Tuesday is sweet as. It's well within the guidelines of being awesome.

        • +1

I am awesome so no worries there.

Yeah that house is a strange one. Hard to keep track of who's living there with her at any one time - adults/kids/pets/cars all seem to come and go.
But on public holidays all her (presumably) family rock up and park their falcodores all over the place, get pissed up and brawl in the street. Is good entertainment.

  • Useless neighbour uses one to blow leaves onto the road which then end up being blown by the wind into my driveway.

Why they can't vacuum leaves up instead is beyond me.

Get a blower and push them back into his yard.

Why would you buy a petrol fueled tool for domestic use anymore ?

I can appreciate a professional gardener doing so , but for home use ?

    • Faster blowing, no need to remember to charge things. When it runs out of "power" takes seconds to refill.

      • Yes I take your point.

        But.. what's the hurry ?

Battery goes flat - great ! That's it for the day !

        Or put a spare in.

Much better than "Oh i have run out of petrol, better drive to the servo and stink out the car with fumes. "

  • +1

The 18v blowers are far more convnient than these annoying things.

  • +2

something that blows and sucks - thanks OP bought 5

  • +1

Just buy an Ego. Don't touch petrol. There's no need.

  • +2

I have one if these. Agreed they are hard to start. You need to remove all fuel from the carb each time or you have problems the next time you try and start it.
I will say, when it is working it blows well.
For most people you are better off buying a battery powered one.
