1kg Flavoured Whey Protein Isolate for $29 (Plus $9.95 Flat-Rate Postage), No Bull Supplements

671

Hi OzBargainers. Here's a post regarding our March special. Thought we'd make an announcement here following the huge success of our first promotion, where we received hundreds of orders over the course of our 24 hour sale.

1kg of Whey Protein Isolate will cost only $29. Flavours available are chocolate, vanilla, banana, strawberry, choc-mint, choc-honeycomb, choc-coconut, choc-orange, coffee and mango (at the moment we're out of stock with vanilla, though will have more blended on Monday). A great price considering Max's WPI costs $70 for 1kg (http://www.mrsupplement.com.au/maxs-wpi), Vital Strength's costs $68 for 1kg (http://www.mrsupplement.com.au/vital-strength-wpi-plus), and BSc's costs $65 for 900g (http://www.mrsupplement.com.au/bsc-body-science-wpi).

Besides whey protein isolate, the only other ingredient we use is flavouring which is limited to 0.5%. Australia-wide shipping comes at a flat-rate cost of $9.95.

Feel free to email our staff with any questions, [email protected].

  • Do you guys have natural? and if you do, does that have sugar in it?

    • +3

Yes we do. All WPI is unflavoured/natural prior to flavouring. Email our staff to arrange an order for unflavoured. We blend stock once a week and are happy to leave unflavoured WPI aside for customers who have made special requests.

No sugars are added to our flavoured range. The only sugar content comes from the natural whey protein itself which is minimal (we're talking below 1g per 100g) due to its undenatured state.

    • +4

That's unflavoured, not flavoured. You're comparing apples and oranges.

        • +10

5 cents less will get you a higher protein content and a greater range of flavours. To add to that, the link you've given me displays a product that's advertised to have 'added l-glutamine' and 'added taurine', yet its ingredients only display whey protein plus flavouring. Hmmm?

      • -2

More like comparing 100% apples to 99.95% apples with 0.5% orange… seems fair to me?

    • +8

      Fail less next time, wang.

  • -2

How much bull is there per 45gm serving?

  • How long is the sale on for? When will you have samples back in stock?

    • +7

Hi ENSLAVER, this sale will be on until the end of March. Samples will be in stock hopefully by the end of this week.

      • Awesome, thanks =)

  • I think you should change the price to 38.95 dollars as it is the standard in posting deals here.

    • Hi dorian_gray, I'll add that flat-rate postage is 9.95. Thanks for the heads up!

  • +1

Fanfreakingtastic, I was just waiting for a deal of exactly 1KG of WPI!!!
Got my order from the first ozbargain deal you posted within just 2 business days, so pretty happy with the service considering you guys would have been under pressure to ship out a big increase of orders following the deal.

    EDIT: And ordered 1KG :)
Since this is going until the end of March then it gives me the opportunity to decide if I like the flavor I ordered (choc) and get more of it, or go for a different flavor next time.

  • +2

Great was wanting to buy some and try it … at this price can't say no! Just ordered 2x. 9.95 flat rate shipping is good too …

    Thanks!

  • Hey,
Just ordered 5KG from these guys, great protein, fast shipping good service.
Only thing I want to mention though is, I was looking at prices afterwards and realised your 3kg is cheaper $26.66/kg than your 5kg = $27.40/kg.
Not a huge deal cause I really only missed out on like $1.60 but I would expect that if you buy 5kg, you would save even more than buying 3kg?
    Is this an error?
Anyway other than that, seems like a great company :)
    Matt

    • +9

Hi Matt! I've had a few customers ask about that actually - it's a good question. Our 3kg WPI has been on special for a while which explains the price difference. We were able to offer it at a reduced price because we could ship it via flat-rate 3kg Australia Post Express satchels to anywhere in the country, whether it be metro or regional areas. However, we've just signed up a contract with Australia Post for their eParcel Express service which will allow us to reduce prices across our entire range. We'll conduct a review of our pricing in the coming weeks.

      • ah ok, makes sense :)

  • Looks pretty good. I usually bulk buy through Protein Direct, but the pricing seems pretty comparable. (http://www.proteindirect.com.au/?page_id=3)

    • +5

iJebus, good site! Just a few differences which are probably worth noting. We stock a growing range of 10 flavours, pack all orders in 1kg packaging (regardless of the order size), and allow customers to select a different flavour per kilogram of protein. Order 5kg of whey protein isolate and you'll be able to select up to five different flavours e.g. 1x chocolate, 1x choc-honeycomb, 1x choc-coconut, 1x vanilla and 1x banana.

  • +4

I'm finished for the day guys. If you have any questions, shoot us an email and we'll get back to you. Have a great week ahead!

  • +1

bought 3kgs last time it was on special, great thing is you can get different flavours for each kilo! fast delivery. protein taste great too.

  • Bought from these guys last time, excellent product love the different range of flavors and fast delivery. Keep up the good work, my friends are all interested in trying your brand out after my reviews :)

  • You had me at Choc Honeycomb. Ordered 2x plus some creatine, great site!

  • +4

    This deal made my day.

The closest I have ever seen to this price for gen-yoo-wine 93% no-sugar WPI was when I got some from the "out-of-date" pile at the front of Max's in Chapel Street.

Great day so far - CRUSHED my workout (1MR pre-workout is absolutely the shizzle even though 'Blue Grape' flavour is a crime against humanity and possibly a chemical weapon)… then got home and saw I could reduce my protein bill by 50%.

All y'all young'uns have no idea how spoilt you are thanks to this 'internet' kerjigger: back in the olden days (1980s), protein powder was (a) crap; (b) loaded with fillers and sugar; and (c) at least as expensive (in nominal terms). But we could get Deca and Dianabol real easy, so I suppose it's "swings and roundabouts".

      • +4

The important thing is, I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time.

      • +2

Ah, there's an interesting story behind this nickel. In 1957, I remember it was, I got up in the morning and made myself a piece of toast. I set the toaster to three… medium brown.

      • Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunchbox." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short…

  • +2

Can I trouble someone to report on the flavour of this when they get it, especially mixed in water? Looking for a protein powder that doesn't taste like a$$ when mixed with water.

    Thanks,

    Stuart

    • They all mix really well - barely have to shake it, all the flavours are pretty good, but my personal favourite is vanilla. It tastes like those milk bottle lollies you ate as a kid.

      http://www.redzedcookies.com.au/files/milk_bottles_lolly_gif…

I would wait for the samples to come back into stock and grab one of each, everyone's tastes differ a bit =P

    • Agree I use Gaspari Intrapro Vanilla and I like the taste. So keen to understand what it tastes like with water.

    • i bought 5 kilos of wpc with various flavors, mixes well with water. Only down side is that it is very sweet, much sweeter than other brands i have tried (protein direct, ON etc)

      • It is a lot sweeter, I guess that's why I compared it to those milk bottle lollies. For me it could be less sweet, or perhaps I will just cut it with some unflavoured WPI.

    • +5

ON is WPC, this is WPI (higher % of protein)

      • it's a combination of both. it's not too bad for what it is. but this is great for WPI. plus vote for me

      • -7

I'm pretty sure it's WPI, mate.

        • +3

mate, its a blend of WPI and WPC….

        • +3

Uneducated post is uneducated. And plus if you go on the site it's $136.99 +$10 for 5kg, not 4.54kg, and you can pick the flavour per kg which is a big big plus to most people.

    • +2

Dude are you serious? 5KG of decent quality WPC from no bull supps is $118 inc post. Why don't you look at the prices no bull are offering before you say you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
As it is 5KG of WPI from no bull supps is only $147 inc post, and it's both better quality plus you get a greater amount of powder over the 4.54kg of optimum nutrition.

      • -8

Really? 5 kg of WPI for $118 including postage? Link me and I'll remove my neg.

        • +1

Never said that, please read before posting. I said $118 for 5KG of WPC (and good WPC at that), or $147 for 5KG of WPI (which is both higher quality with a greater percent of protein per 100G over the optimum nutrition plus has a greater amount of actual powder - 4.54kg is not the same as 5KG). Not only that but you get a greater range of flavors and the ability to select different flavors for each KG (so you could get five 1KG packs of WPI each of a different flavor and still only pay $147 inc post). Their postage is also quick (next day for one of my earlier orders).

I have just had a better look into the ON gold standard. Looks like it is only as good as the WPC that no bull stocks anyway. So yes for $118 you could have even more (5kg vs 4.5kg) of a near identical quality of protein powder for far less money, as well as the flavor mix and match option I mentioned before :)

    • lol.

  • +2

Your WPI is cheaper than bulknutrients.com.au, but their WPC is cheaper. So yes, this is a good deal for WPI.

  • Decent price, might order some samples when they're back in stock and buy if the taste is any good.

  • Whats the diff between this and Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey?

    • ON is WPC and has lower protein content.

      • ON is both WPI and WPC. Definitely a much lower protein content though.

  • +1

Great buy. If only I hadn't stocked up on 3kg from proteindirect :(

  • When does the protein expire?

    • December 2013

  • +4

    Are these flavors Aspartame free?

    • -1

LOL, I think we have a 2GB listener here. Aspartame is absolutely harmless. It's been proven empirically.

      • +5

you can suck it up mate. that's your choice. but i don't want it!

  • Ordered 6kg of WPI - hope choc, choc-coconut, and banana are all good flavours!
Also ordered 3kg of casinate vanilla!! Shold take care of my protein needs for 2012 :)

  • +1

    Damn, Vanilla is sold out!

    • +1

(at the moment we're out of stock with vanilla, though will have more blended on Monday)

      • +3

Awesome. You know what'd be great? If you could send out a bunch of samples of the other flavours with orders? Just a tablespoons worth so we can tell

  • -2

Will this help make me look like Bruce Lee? I want to get my body fat down to about 10-12 percentage especially around the midsection. At the moment, it's somewhere around 15-20. :(

    • +1

fast, stop eating and workout if you want to be bruce lee

    • +2

I might be a rep here but I ain't gonna claim we have the magic pill. Losing body fat is all about eating well, eating less and exercise. If you want personalised advice, I'm happy to help you out. Shoot me an email, [email protected]. From my own experience, the keto diet worked really well in shredding fat over a short period of time.

  • While the flavouring is good(using mango ATM), note that you may not get the flavour you wanted. I ordered 5 kg WPI and got two choco-coconuts instead of choco honeycomb(which was the main reason I ordered from here, whirlpool and OCAU seem to really prefer the honeycomb flavour)

    • spawnpoint, sorry about that! Occasionally we may make mistakes with orders, particularly if you've ordered during times where we receive hundreds of orders over the space of 24 hours. Did you email one of our staff? We do our best to rectify any mistakes we make.

      • no I didn't, I didn't want the hassle of sending the stock back and waiting for it to come, since I was splitting the supp with someone else. No biggie for me though, I'll be ordering again in 2-3 months time anyways

  • Based on the reviews I heard so far, I decided to order protein from NoBull - Previously had been ordering from ProteinDirect for many years. I ordered 5kg WPC (2 chocolates, 2 coffee and 1 banana). I've so far tried the coffee and I have to say I don't really like it at all. When I mixed it water and glucose, there is basically no flavour and basically tastes like unflavoured/natural whey. Unfortunately now I'm stuck with 5kg of protein and no very happy.

    • +1

WPC taste much better with Milk IMO or even WPI for that matter.

  • -4

Rip off, bulknutrients is much cheaper

    • +2

Wrong. This deal is for WPI. 1kg pack of WPI is cheaper at No Bull ($29 vs $39). Also from what I can see No Bull have $9.95 shipping cap vs $12 at Bulk Nutrients.

5kg or more of WPC works out cheaper from Bulk Nutrients.

      • +1

If these guys can match/or lower their price of WPC with Bulk Nutrients, they'll claim the entire market.

    • Solid argument.

  • Anybody had any experience with the Choc-Orange WPI flavour? Thinking of trying it…(Only used ON whey in the past…)
Shame there aren't any samples available right now…. :(

    • +1

Couldn't find any info/reviews/mentions of choc-orange flavour on google, so i'm guessing its relatively new?
I put an order in for 1kg of this anyway, hopefully it tastes good!

Will be very happy if it tastes decent as I would much prefer to support a smaller Australian business rather than the big supplement companies.

      • Choc-Orange is our newest flavour, added to our range just a few weeks ago hence why it'll be hard finding a review.

  • Just a question about this deal - the last deal was $137 for 5kg less 10% - comes to under $25/kg (compared to $29 here).
I don't know many people who buy in 1 kg lots so not too sure if this is a great deal.
No Bull allows you to buy 5kg "packs" where you get 5 x 1kg in your choice of flavours.
So I am not sure if this is a great deal.
I bought the last special - good so far. The choc one is quite a rich flavour (I like it). Mixes well.

  • do you have any non lactose protein???

    • WPI is virtually lactose free (99%+) and is probably the closest you'll get to a lactose-free whey protein.

  • +1

Bought some creatine last week, it gave me the squirts. Just thought you should all know :)

    • Creatine is really something you should prep a bit for and make sure your water intake is HIGH, else it just strips your guts and you don't get much out of it.

      • yeah i drink probably too much water but i always thought that you needed to 'load' creatine to get the best results so i started off with a lot. Do you think i should ease up to a loading dose? Any other tips before food or time a day that is preferable?

        • +1

I was told that the loading phase is pointless as using it for a few weeks (At 5g/day) will saturate the muscles quickly anyway…
Maybe your body just didn't like the high dosage you were taking?

Drinking alot of water is good though. I don't think its possible to drink too much (within reason)……

    • warm water

  • I cant seem to be able to login, when I type in my information, it just puts me at the shopping cart screen without logging me in.

  • Great deal just ordered 3 kg, planning to ramp up my workout when I get back from European holiday in 6 weeks, been using wpi since December along with hydrocuts ultra, have lost 16kg total. muscle mass is also up, and core strength. I blend mine with frozen berries or banana & skim milk sometimes peanut butter, brand I have been using is rather bland hopefully these guys have a better flavours.

    • +1

try all the choco flavours for sure, reviews of them seem rad

  • cheap and honest seller, no marketing bull

I will be trying a range of flavors throughout the month, will keep you updated on what's best

never seen such unique flavors in protein :)

  • +1

I couldnt find anywhere on the site about nutrition information.
E.g. How much proteins (g) in 1 servings.

    Can anyone help me? Thank

    • +1
    • If you don't mind me asking, why are you concerned about the amount of protein (g) per serving? You probably know this already, but I can't stress enough how flawed this approach to comparing supplements is. For an unbiased comparison, compare on the basis of protein content per 100g NOT by serving. Company X can say protein X contains 30g of protein per 40g serve, whilst Company Y can say protein Y contains 27g of protein per 30g. This does NOT mean Company X's protein has a higher protein content. In actual fact, protein Y does.

      • That being said, we recommend serving sizes of 40g. Personally, my serving sizes are based on how much I require to meet my daily protein intake requirements.

  • +2

Hey mate, would love to order, but want to sample it first. Please let us know when they are in.

  • No bull,

Has anyone loaded the amino acid profile of the protein? Still waiting from previous post, can't find it

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63492#comment-761187

    • +1

I ordered from these guys before and asked exactly the same thing.. this was their reply email dated Feb 10.. hope it helps

The amino acid profile for WPI is listed below.

Essential Amino Acids Per 100g (g)
      Isoleucine 5.7
      Leucine 10.2
      Valine 5.9
      Lysine 8.7
      Methionine 3.5
      Threonine 6.3

Other Amino Acids Per 100g (g)
      Arginine 2.4
      Crystine 2.3
      Proline 5.9
      Tyrosine 2.8
      Aspartate 10.2
      Serine 4.6
      Glutamic Acid 17.6
      Alanine 4.9
      Histidine 1.6
      Tryptophan 1.6

  • Looks pretty good, plus such an interesting range of flavours.

To be honest I prefer hydrolyzed WPI these days, seems to avoid the 'protein gas' also HWPI seems better for those who think they might be lactose intollerant.

    • Was just about to ask whether this was hydrolyzed. Just bought Isolate 43 yesterday as it has minimal lactose. I loved the Magnum Quattro as it went down well and had great results but have now been recommended Hydrolyzed WPI and will give it a crack. Still tossing up on this as it says minimal lactose but still unsure.

  • Been ordering with these guys for a while.

My fave flavour is Choc Mint! Give that one a crack :)
