Damn this is good for the price +1

  • how to apply the coupon? not work

    • eBay plus or afterpay

      • +1

im non ebay plus, but try to click afterpay still the original price, and coupon doesn't work.

        • Are you paying with Afterpay?

        • Its ebay plus only deal

  • +1

very cheap laptop for that specs

    • -5

      A bit suspicious isn't it? :+/

  • Expected it to drop further from June
Ryzen 3xxx processors are getting on.

    Only dropped $25 since April

    • agreed, this deal only works for tech items; I'm after piano korg b2

      • +1

Great piano, we have the same one. If you have kids, don't let them play with the power button :/

        • how much you purchased? someone last deal on ebay was $499; but now $599 no deal.

          • @ZTE: Yeah we paid $599 for it, but I had a $500 voucher from my Telstra contract.

I found that whenever I saw a $499 deal online, it was already out of stock.

            • @Kontiki: Pls notice if on deal again.

    • Been looking around but there just isn't anything else decent in the same price range.
Chromebooks are cheaper but for good reason and anything more recent than the matebook sit around the 1k mark.

      • Yeah wow you're right prices are absolutely shocking atm. Didn't have a good look around but this at $791 seems to be okay value

        • That's a very decent price. Might just bite if it drops back down to its historical low

  • How is the screen on this one?

    • +2

So so display as you'd expect for the price. 250nits 1080p IPS, 61% sRGB coverage, 40% DCI-P3 coverage.

  • Will this laptop be eligible for Windows 11?

    • Apparently anyone can install w11. If it's not available, you can still download the iso

  • Unable to purchase via AfterPay? Anyone else having this problem?

    • +2

Haven't tried this but am having issues with another ebay/afterpay deal rn

    • +1

Had the same issue on my computer for another deal. Had to switch over to my phone.

  • I'm new to AfterPay and they've given me a $600 limit. Anyone know if there's a way to increase this?

    • Have you tried checking out anyways? Iirc AfterPay will let you check out a $654 item on a $600 limit, you'd just have to also pay the difference ($54) on your first installment so a $204 first payment, $150 for the other 3.

      • Yeh I did. It said the order amount is too high and above the $600 limit.

    • Don't know how to increase it, but you can just use gift cards to bring down the price and pay the remainder with Afterpay.

      • You sure? I have to select AfterPay as a payment to get the discount otherwise I don't get the 15% off.

        • +1

Yes, as long as you're paying some part of it with afterpay. I did it today.

          • @yonkey: Thanks for this tip mate. I'll be doing this too.
            Appreciate the help

  • +1

    Damn. So cheap

    • +2

It's been the same price for months.. you know this is for the 3rd gen Ryzen (before the massively upgraded 4th gen and incremental 5th gen) with 8GB non expandable RAM which AMD will take 2GB and Windows at least 4GB.

$650 is still a lot for this in late 2021 imho.

Guess it looks like a Mac so that makes up for it lol.

    Nice

  • -2

Good price. But I just cannot convince myself to buy a Huawei product.

    • +2

      Same here!
It is similar feeling I had 2 years back wanting to buy a Xiaomi smart band. In the end bought it anyway and I have been impressed with it since then. If I am confident that I will have the same experience, I would buy it.

      • Sort of in the same boat. Have a Xiaomi band but it pretty much just does steps for me. There is that niggling little voice that says don't trust Huawei/Chinese spyware but damn I love the specs.

    • Just curious.. Security/privacy reasons?

    • I use the D14, it's been great.

  • This AMD processor reserves 2GB of RAM for the Radeon graphics, so only 6GB is system usable.

    • Yeah RAM can't be upgraded

  • Great price

  • You have to be eBay plus member to apply the coupons. just got one. Thanks for posting.

Whatever banned by the US is the top Chinese product. Security reasons mean that they cannot find other reasons to justify it…

    • i have a stroke

Me too. I also got covid from this comment

I've got one of these. Great laptop for the price (I paid $950 about 15 months ago). The worst thing about it is the camera, which pops out of the keyboard, so the angle is terrible.

    • Lmao I've heard that too. Good for inspecting your nostrils!

Can you give your thoughts on the battery life? Especially on its degradation between now and when you first got it?

      • +1

It's just so-so. But for my needs it's fine. Certainly worth the price they're asking.

Regarding the camera, I just use my mobile phone as a camera, connected to my laptop with DroidCam.

Huawei is Chinese and a security risk

    • +1

      Sounds familiar.

    • No love for lenovo? Xiaomi, hisense, Dji, tp link?
