Seiko Zen Garden SSA413J $399 Delivered @ StarBuy

330

Good discount on a lesser-known Seiko model with sapphire crystal and smaller case size (38.3mm).

The Seiko Presage Zen Garden Karesansui SSA413J is an automatic movement watch with an open heart.

What we love: The standout dial needs to be seen to be appreciated. The 38.3mm case size is considerably smaller than the last release models that were 40.5mm and the dual curved sapphire glass. A marked upgrade to the previous models.

This mens watch features a textured ivory dial with a circular pattern with a stainless steel case and a brown leather strap. The SSA413J features a 4R38 movement with an approximately 41 hour power reserve with a dual curved sapphire glass, hacking function and see through case back.

Ships in 1-3 Business Days from Sydney with Australia Post Express. Sydney customers can pick up on the same day from our Alexandria showroom an hour after placing the order by choosing Click & Collect as the delivery option.

Nice watch. If I were a collector I'd be sorely temped

If you were a collector, you would sorely tempted by hundreds of watches. Don't go down that path. Agh, I've spoken too late. All my mechanical watches are winding themselves!!! Save yourself - the power of accurate cheap quartz is your only hope!

I started with a cheap quartz and ended up with a watch box full!

Haha I've still got the Naviforce 9044, battery has died but it kept great time when it was working.

@WatchNerd: WatchNerd, I bought a few watches based on your posts a few months ago and now I'm 15 watches (Seiko, Citizen, Zeppelin, Orient) in and I can't stop! Not sure how you guys refrain yourselves from this madness.

      • If you were a collector, you would sorely tempted by hundreds of watches

I'm often tempted (I particularly like Citizen). The only thing that saves me is my mantra (Idon'tevenwearawatch).

      • @Daabido: Haha good advice! After researching different mechanical watches a couple months ago (and coming up with a shortlist of 2 that have both been listed on OzB in the past week), I've decided that I don't need a mechanical watch and would rather stick with Eco Drives.
Now if only Citizen made smaller dial Eco Drives that look as lovely as the Seiko Presages :(

  • Has anyone seen this watch in the flesh?
Hard to tell online if the dial is matte or whether it has a bit of a sheen to it

  • Odd RRP pricing- the rose-gold version was @ $100 more at $950, and is the worst looking of the three.
