  • Is there something similar for below scenario of mine.

    Laptop - mini display port

Monitor - Hdmi or display port. Either is fine.

    Thanks.

Thanks - bought - Hopefully this "active" DP to HDMI cable works better than the cheap DP to HDMI adapter I've previously bought (which didn't work at all) - and yes I'm going from a DP source to a HDMI display

    • Hopefully this "active" DP to HDMI - exactly

    • This is a really good price if it works. Can you please post back if it works.

      • Hello, the deal will expire on 23, Sep, just feel free to get one and try.
If you have any questions, contact us at any time, and we will do our best to solve the problem.
Of course, if you don’t mind, you can tell us the model of your laptop and monitor, thus we can better recommend the suitable products for you.

Well knock me down with a feather - I really wasn't expecting it to work any better than the other ("non active" DP to HDMI adapter I'd purchased previously - which didn't work at all) - but this one (which is more a short cable than just an "adapter") is working perfectly - so thumbs up from me

        • No way, really!. I paid something like $45 for one last year which I've lost. Lol
I'm definitely going to need one when I upgrade my GPU next year. I'll wait for it to go on sale again. Cheers

I bought a DP to HDMI cable from MSY last week cheaper than this adapter and it works perfectly as well.
Also was not expecting much, very happy it does 4K at 60Hz.
The part is 1.5 Meter DisplayPort to HD Copper Cable(4K supported). Nothing written on the packet if it is active or passive.

    • Hi, thanks for your support and purchase.
If there are any more questions after you received it, just feel free to contact us, and we will try our best to help you solve the problems.
      Have a nice day!
      Alice

  • Bought one based on the description that it can output 1440p@144hz. There's a fair few conflicting reviews on Amazon but hoping they're just cases of PEBKAC.

    • I had to google ‘Pebkac’, I bet I’ll forget what it stands for by tomorrow!

There is also 'PICNIC' for 'Problem in Chair, Not in Computer'. Easier to remember.

        • I like that one, I’m going with that one!

        • One D Ten T error…. 1D10T 😂

    • Hi, it supports 1440p@144hz. We have tested the product with PHL 325M1RZ monitor and Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080i graphics cards.
Don't worry, just feel free to get one. You can apply for the refund if it can't work after you bought.
      Kind regards

  • I bought one Plugable Active DP to HDMI Adapter for my 4K Dell S2721QS. It works on Dell 7080 intel gpu 4K@60Hz, but only 4K@30Hz on an old PC with Nvidia Quadro K420 gpu.

    • Generally speaking, the graphics card driver and the different DisplayPort version of the GPU, and different resolutions will be supported.
I have checked the model of your monitor and PC, find that 4K Dell S2721QS supports DP1.2, Dell 7080 supports DP1.4, and Nvidia Quadro K420 supports DP1.2.
Maybe this is the main reason why there are different resolutions.
      Hope it's helpful for you.
Just feel free to leave a message, if you have any more questions.

  • Is it backwards compatible with earlier versions of DP?

    • It can downwards compatible with 3840 X 2160, 1080P, 720P and etc.
If you want to reach 4K resolution, please make sure that both of your DP-equipped computer and HDMI monitor support 4K@60Hz and use an HDMI 2.0 cable.

  • Isn't it "Active DP adapter" means HDMI (computer) to DP monitor? If not what is the name for the adapter to do that?

    • This DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter is NOT bi-directional. It only converts an DisplayPort signal (source device) to HDMI (monitor/display). DO NOT use for HDMI devices to DP monitor. "Active DP adapter" means that it also supports DP, DP++, DisplayPort++.

  • Anyone know if you can use one of these to enable Adaptive Sync on an Nvidia GPU and adaptive-sync compatible HDMI monitor?

  • so use this on a HP SFF PC and add a HDMI cable should be all that i need?

    • Some HDMI cable would not do 4K@60Hz.

      • Maybe some cables don't support 4K@60Hz, but if the cable supports 4K@60Hz, please make sure that both of your DP-equipped computer and HDMI monitor support 4K@60Hz and use an HDMI 2.0 cable.
If your DP and HDMI just support 4K@30Hz, it will be 4K@30Hz, not 4K@60Hz.

    • Could you please tell me the specific model of your HP SFF PC and monitor? Thus, we can better check it and recommend suitable products for you.
      Thanks

    • I have checked the Active DP1.4 to HDMI 2.0 Adapter can work with HP SFF PC.
Just feel free to get one, and you can apply for a refund if it can't work after you bought it.

  • Do you have any bi-directional DP to HDMI cables or adapters?

  • -4

A 2 second Google and found a cheaper price. Sorry but not a deal just because you've discounted an inflated price.

  • Hi Alice, do you have any HDMI 2.0 cables capable of HDR 4K@60Hz at a 10 metre length? The length is the important part, being able to maintain that level of quality/output over that distance. I had a look on the store but couldn't easily find anything, plus it's hard to tell what will and won't work as I know there are difficulties with the longer distances.

P.s. I bought a DP to USB-C cable from CableCreation to connect my laptop to my Xiaomi 34" ultrawide monitor via Thunderbolt 3 and it has been working very well!

  • Hello, sorry for reach back so late.
We do have 3m HDMI 2.0 cable but it's not 10m length. If the HDMI cable is too long, the signal will be unstable.
Or you can search for HDMI fiber optical to look for 10m HDMI cable?
    Hope it's helpful for you.
