    back and forth on the S3422DWG, in the cart.
    I will be using it for 50% work from home, 50% gaming. Is this a pretty good solution?
    The main thing I want for work is to be able to have a couple of application windows opened side by side with enough width that I can use each of them without having to resize each window or tab between them etc. Will this screen fit that requirement?

    I got a S2722QC from the last sale - good gracious - it's amazing.

    Highly recommended. I used it attached to my MacBook Air M1 and it's amazing to have 1 cable attached for everything. I can even attach webcams and mics to my laptop via the USB ports on the bottom of the screen too, it's really really bright, good colour accuracy, fast response, no ghosting for day to day use.

    I have an Alieware 240hz monitor for my gaming machine and it's really nice to have monitors which are purpose built for their purpose. This is an incredible monitor for anything but gaming and I imagine it would be ok for gaming too. But not for FPS where you're wanting as many frames as possible.

    Exceptional screen at a great price with this discount!

    Just a side question, does anyone know what the typical dispatch times are? I ordered the 38" Ultrawide with an est. delivery of 28 Oct - 5 Nov. I've heard people getting their things a lot earlier, within the week even. Was wondering if that's a one off kind of scenario or if Dell regularly dispatches earlier than the estimated date.

      I think delivery depends? I ordered a 27" alienware during the last eBay sale on 28/8 with an ETA 28/9 - 6/10. Shipped 10/9 and has been sitting with Auspost for about a week now..

    Is anyone using S3422DW? Im not sure if it would be the better option for me. I need at least a 30inch one. I use for trading/multitasking/watching youtube movies etc when not working. I dont play games. Im on a dell u3011 atm, but i dont like the colours, not bright.Could anyone throw their suggestions please?

    Would the AW3821DW work ok as an office monitor? I had a U3821DW in the office (when I could go) and loved it but they don't seem to be included in this special.

      yeah mate I use it for work, it's great! It doesn't look to 'gamer' as well if you take it into the office. I still think having a second monitor is better for productivity but not as clean aesthetically

    I have an older Ultrasharp and have been considering the U2720Q which isn’t actually on offer here but maybe the S2722QC might do the job?
    I’ve been using Ultrasharp models since 2008 and I’m extremely happy with them. Though never had a 4K model before. No gaming required. Just want rock solid picture quality with very good colour reproduction that I can look at for several hours without eye fatigue. No need for the serious colour precision model for photo or video editing. Anyone care to compare these two for me please? I’m sure the Ultrasharp is in a different league and it also costs considerably more. Any advice please? Thanks in advance.

      Dell removed / reduced some features from U2720Q in S2722QC. They are:

      • USB-PD/90W is reduced to 65W in S2722QC).
      • 1 USB-C, 2x HDMI instead of 1 USB-C, HDMI and 1 DisplayPort.
      • 2 more USB downstream ports (1 extra USB-A, 1 extra USB-C).
      • HDR 400 vs just HDR on U2722QC (basically HDR not able to reach even HDR400)

      So, it really depends on your situation. DisplayPort is something you would want if you also have a PC desktop system. USB-PD/90W is better for Macbook Pro 15 or 16 inch. Another thing is UltraSharp monitors have a good chance to be factory calibrated (and you might get a report for the calibration result).

      S2722QC - good value for money when discounted. If you opted for 4K at 27 inch, you might be looking at 150% display scaling on Windows (or equivalent on a Mac).

      No, this is the new normal (due to Covid). Dell won't stock lots of monitors then do a sale. They will do the sale and then order them. It's just with Covid, it takes longer for monitors to reach here. However, Dell does have a tendency to quote a pessimistic delivery date. That said, while there is a good chance you get the monitors before the quoted date, some unfortunate customers did end up having to wait that long.

        the s2721qs was flickering on my MacBook air m1. I got 3 of them and all had the same issue, hence buying the new model. Many pp said that 2k is enough and I had to use scaling to 2k on the s2721qs so I bought the s2722dc instead of s2722qc.

      I have had to do returns before, they sent me the replacement with a shipping label and I just had to stick it on the box and a courier service came and picked it up.
