  • This seagate is monster.

Outperforming all other hardrives in the market in read and write speed.

However, the downside is more heat, more power and more noise :)

    • You linked an outdated review. By your own preferred metric, the Samsung F1 is the current titleholder:

Not to mention it does that while using less power and having better noise characteristics than Seagate. Makes little sense for a bargain hunter to take up this deal when you can get an equivalent/better product for less money from 10 other stores (starting at $154 from Arc Computers).

      • ahh.. I wasn't aware :( .. thanks for pointing that out..

  • Nice Price & Product!
    +1

  • Great price. I picked up the cheaper Samsung 1TB from my local guy for $175 on Monday.

My Samsung 1TB worked great on my GA-P35-DS3L motherboard, but it didn't go so well on my GA-MA69GM-S2H (HTPC), where it only recognised the drive as 33MB. To fix this, I had to get a tool which slightly adjusts the drive firwmare for better compatibility. If anyone else has the same issue the tool is available here with an explanation of what makes some boards thing it's smaller than it should be: http://blog.atola.com/restoring-factory-hard-drive-capacity/

  • Staticice shows the drives are going for about $150~.

Where? Cheapest I can find for this model is $179.

    • My mistake, I must have been hallucinating. I thought this was for the Samsung HD103UJ. Wow.

Forget everything I said, this is a real bargain. I thought the Seagate's were well above $200, so $169 is awesome :)

Still, if people are having issues with compatibility, my above post stands.

  • Who keeps voting +1 on these deals?

Surely people on ozbargain have enough storage space already.

    • Never!
It's like cupboard space… The more you have, the more you find to fill it with!!!
      [ :- { )

      • agreed .. lol…

  • Now if only someone would post a good bargain on an ISP to help fill all these drives up ?!?!

  • Disappointing that you can only order 1 :(

    • Yeah. On one hand, it's often best to use these mega drives in pairs for backup; but on the other hand, this way more people have the chance to get one!
