Why does it need optane memory if it has an SSD? Wasn't this a stop gap 8 years ago to get HDD to seem speedy as SSD without the cost? It was called Sh17 House Hard Drive, no?

They found a pallet of them in the warehouse & asked the marketing guys what to do.

Or maybe they've got a crappy ssd drive

A crappy product from the people named after their acronym (Horrible Products), never!

    • Likely Intel optane memory H10, which combine optane with qlc SSD.

  • Does 8Gb RAM cut it nowadays? Especially when paired with an i7.

    • maybe not. 16G will be more ideal.

    • Sure, as long as you just don't open any programs ;-)

It's fine as for most people. The optane + SSD means it can create a fairly quick ramdisk if needed.

The question is it Windows 11 ready? Someone might want those promised round edges

HP's build quality has been relatively better when compared to Lenovo or Dell

  • 8GB RAM… Last decade's stock?

8GB of ram is fine for most users. I recommend more if you are doing lots of multitasking or running apps like photoshop etc (and then probably at least a 500GB SSD).
Have been really impressed with HP's laptops over last couple of years (and have sold many of them). I find the probook range better though.
This is a good deal for a 11th Gen I7 laptop.

  • Great for an i7. Do you like fhd? Feels weird my phone at 6" has more pixels than a laptop at 15 inches. I prefer more resolution and smaller interface items on the screen. But it seems full HD is the majority. The first thing with higher resolution is the surface laptop at 1500

  • Is the deal over? Why I se the price is over $1335?
