    • +5

Also never say the words moist and panties in the same sentence.

        You just did

I was replying to the posts above

    • +1

      Sorry my bad. Didn’t realise it’s the 15” 😂

      • +2

        Shoulda gone to specsavers

  • -1

    Good deal.
Paid $1,943 for 16/512GB after GST back.

    • Did you get the GST back? It might be different now but I was told that their ABN was inactive and therefore couldn’t apply for TRS.

      • +1

        buss bought from apple

      • +1

Told by who, that their ABN is inactive? Not sure it's legal for a business to be without an ABN.

        • +2

Whois shows ABN, belonging to a sole trader, who apparently or someone with the same name left Victoria when a Facebook Marketplace sale of a laptop went south.

Armed thugs came back and tried to attack him. He told Sky News he was leaving the state (last year).

Also some NZ business registrations about 15 years ago.

Technology Outlet does not exist as a registered business name. The ABN is not registered for GST.

  • +1

Can TRS if you are around the corner for holiday!

    • -4

You are supposed to declare it when returning.

      • +7

        Not the OzBargain way.

It was a gift to an anonymous benefactor.

        • +4

I had customs warn me on the way back for that. They had a record that I had used TRS and I was not declaring the item on the way back despite clearly still having it in my possession.

          • +1

@7hil: Never seen customs asking for “how many laptops” do you have - and then validating it with TRS

            • @b0nd: You'll never arose suspicion, Mr Bond.

            • +2

@b0nd: No, but it doesn’t take much detective work to know which travellers have claimed a large amount of TRS prior to departure and then when they are re-entering the country how many have not declared anything but may still have the goods with them.

  • This laptop can currently be purchased from Technology Outlet’s eBay store for $2179 delivered when their $120 discount is applied. I bought this laptop back in July for $2179 delivered by applying the $120 discount. The code comes and goes and it’s occasionally a $100 off code. Just be aware that you may have to wait a little longer than usual for delivery when buying from their eBay store - check the item description. Colours available are midnight, silver and starlight.

    • What’s the code?

      • SEPSAVE

    • When you bought in Jul, did you get a Tax Invoice from the seller Technology Outlet? Seems it's not registered for GST which apparently any business that is not GST-registered shouldn't issue a Tax Invoice. I need a Tax Invoice for salary packaging.

    • +3

      Any excellent deals you found?

    • +2

can you stop saying this on every post for no reason?

  • How much is this one on AOC?

  • +8

Currently with 256gb, for an upgrade i wouldn't go lower than 1TB ssd, it seems absurd this is not offered in 2025 for an apple product.

What is currently crazy to think about, is you can also preorder a Legion Go 2 Z2E handheld pc, for EXACTLY the same price. It's not even a fair comparison, the Macbook can get so much work done. To be fair they are aimed at different markets, but still, $2200 can get you either a really nice laptop that can last years or a expensive Handheld PC…

Which is INSANE by the way, who'd spend that much money on a gaming handheld. Basicly dead on arrival. Really puts into perspective how pricey they all are, and how much value a $650 steam deck LCD is…

    • -3

For me the value is the other way around, sadly a Macbook Air like this would thrash a much more expensive Windows desktop or any gaming laptop in Adobe Lightroom :(

      • -2

        Yeah, nah.

    • I mean, you should probably compare like with like (laptop v laptop). Handhelds are a different market altogether.

    • I really think at least half of the hand held owners would be happier with a gaming pc and a nice controller for their phone (I use a g8+). If you're just playing it at home, you're probably in that half.

I bought from fb marketplace the chip M4 pro for 1500 with 24gb ram 😁😁😁😁

    • +2

Tempted to go to OW to price beat this. Hmm.

    • This will fit my purposes better too

    • Btw, i price beat in officeworks Bundoora Vic for $1805

      • Nice. thanks for confirming.

    • +3

      • +1

Apple has reached 24GB of RAM on thier latest chip at this price?! Pinch me i must be dreaming.

There you go corrected it ;)

      • extortion is the right word mr Cook

Just bought one from the eBay store for $2069.10 with eBay $229 max discount for electronic.

Not sure if target eBay code or not.

Was going to try officeworks price match. But no store near me has any.

    • Can you share the code?

      • YAUPGIXNGX5TBQCM

        • Thank you. Unfortunately it does look to be targeted. Doesn't work for me :(

          • @meguro: Checking it again it is targeted.

            10% of tech

          • @meguro: Checking it again it is targeted.

            10% of tech

            • @orionweb: Thanks. Did the seller issue a Tax Invoice, or have you requested one?

              • @meguro: I’ve asked for a tax invoice and am still waiting for it!

Get it from OW if you can!

                • @orionweb: No local OW stores keep stock, comes from the warehouse. Phone price beat worked fine!

                • @orionweb: Still have not got my invoice. Not happy.

  • If they don’t have an ABN, no price match!!

  • +5

I got a price beat at Officeworks in Doncaster in store, $2089.05 was what I paid!

    • Had luck with officeworks Bundoora for 13" $1805. Dun go to Preston branch, manager sux.

      • Tried to price beat at Wetherill Park NSW for the 13". They said since the store is called "Technology Outlet" it's all refurbished models and 2nd. I even said this was for a brand new product, but wouldn't budge saying it's an outlet.

        • If you do not want to use gift card to pay instore, just call OW to price beat over the phone and pay using Credit card.

        • Was successful $2089 for 15” at Hornsby NSW, they triple checked as they saw the site sells refurbs, took a good few mins of checking so I’m guessing others just don’t feel like doing the research

    • Same here - 1 day wait for the Midnight

  • Seems like great deal.thanks OP

  • Officeworks staff member declined, there is no ABN. Not possible so i dont know where you are getting these "Price Beats"

    • +1

YMMV, depending on the staff and which store it is. You may try price beat over the phone.

      • will do , thanks

  • -2
    • I mean, a simple Whois and ABN search tells you exactly who the owner is, and their ABN

  • -3

Looks like you can't use this site to price beat at any retailers. There is now a link at the top of the listing which goes to another page explaining why you can't.

    • +1

And looks like the owner is also ozbargainer :))

    • +1

The stuff on that page directly contradicts other parts of their website. If true, those are things that should have been made obvious to customers from the beginning. It would make me wonder what else might not be as it seems.

  • +1

A friend sent me this, he was just asking whether Technology Outlet had an ABN. 🤔

    https://ibb.co/fdpFWfzt

      • +3

Ah yes, a local business that has no address or ABN and also says they are trans-tasman…

        • What are their pronouns?

  • This deal is live again. Price beat this morning at OW to $2089.05!

    • could you share the link the deal pls?
