to engage my kids during school holidays.

      How old are they ?

    • Depends whether you want your kids to be ready to camp out in their cardboard boxes or CEOs doing a camp out for charity behind their mansion.

Qld, so yes, lucky to still be able to camp and travel within the state during school holidays.

  • Excel Basic Skills Workbook

    Which version of Excel ?

      Excel 2021 - jv edition

  • Thanks OP. Got the Maths and English books.

  • Thanks

  • didn't know year 5 math requires excel

    • +1

I don't think schools use excel.
The books are more for extra work for keen students/parents

      • Since the original comment implied the software, it's briefly in the Year 5 and 6 syllabus:

"tabulate collected data, including numerical data, with and without the use of digital technologies such as spreadsheets"

        Source: https://bit.ly/3CJatXv

But most of them don't really have any idea of it by Year 7. Which is fine.

You know you’re a true ozbargainer when for a split second you consider buying a Year 5 math book, despite being a second year Astrophysics uni student.

Thanks OP bought 50, hoping they’ll help me with my linear algebra exam!

    • +2

Linear algebra is pretty straight forward…

      • +1

I honestly thought this was microsoft excel basic skills. Wondered how year 5 kids would react to learning microsoft excel…

    • I teach them in Y4. You just have to make the data relevant/interesting and you'd be surprised what they're capable of.

Conditional formatting always manages to wow Excel newbies. I did fill+text in footy colours for one class.

  • Back to $15.95 for the yr 5 maths book.

    • Worked for me today, bought, thanks OP :)

    • Back to $5 again

  • None of the options were $5 for me :(
