you can call the box beating department and ask them to beat some boxes for a better price if have a good persuasion skill

      • Good percussion skills, too.

        • Some people don’t understand the joke

  • $2099 in WA?

    • 1999 instore perth today

  • Is this a good tv? sorry i have been out of touch with smart tvs technologies for a while now and think perhaps high time to update the house's main smart tv.

main uses would be netflix, youtube etc. have not been watching much 4K though.

It doesn't have full array local dimming. So if you are picky about picture quality, you might be disappointed. But I am sure for the average consumer, this would be a very good tv

      • Wont consider myself a a picky TV consumer, as long as clarity is good in general. thanks for the feedback!

just need to decide between this or the slightly smaller model.

If you sit further than 3m get this, otherwise 90j

          • @mlburnian: Who would sit closer than 3m to a TV this size? I even sit 3m from my 32”….

            • +1

@bozbargain: Lots of people, all about immersion

              • @mlburnian: Only for 4K video I assume? Do you then pull back the sofa by a few metres when you watch anything in HD? Honest question, never had a screen bigger than 49’’ and friends who do tend to sit away a good 4m from theirs, otherwise the pixels are just too noticeable.

90j is a better tv. Has full array local dimming

  • Has their OS improved over the years? I’ve had a Sony for the last 6 years been one of the worst TVs I’ve ever had, still prefer the 10yo Samsung in my bedroom. I’ve heaps of issues with freezing, rebooting, accessing free to air channels, accessing USB videos, list goes on.

Google TV so I don't think you should see any major issues other than Google TV itself

    • I purchased the previous years model. So much better and faster than the first Android OS model I purchased about 6 years ago.

Only issue I have with the first Sony Android tv is speed. I also do a restart every once in a while which always helps.

The Sony OS is awesome now, I have the X95H and its super speedy… very responsive and the ability to use Google apps like Plex, Kodi etc make it even better.

I’ve made a pricematch in Sony with costco website price ($2099). Then cashrewards (8% - without GST) - final price = $1,946.27.

    • Are you sure? Only 2% cash back today for both CR and SB.

      • Oh, It’s only 2% now. I bought it on wednesday (was 8%)

Fantastic deal! Best bang for buck, unless u want full array led or oled but at a higher cost.

  • We need a mandatory HDMI 2.1 flag for TV deals
