  • Has anyone used the Swap food delivery for Easi and confirm it’s credits and not just a voucher (like if purchased via Shopback).

    • +7

      credit,use like Easi cash
      no worries, not voucher
shopback's easi is voucher…must use the whole amount in one transition…

      • Thank you! So that means I can use it with discount promotions right? I haven’t used Easi cash before.

        • +1

Yup. You choose to pay from your Easi wallet and/or from Google Pay/Visa/etc when checking out, after applying the $5 off milk tea code.

          • +1

@lilicoco: Thanks! Exactly why I use Easi :P

          • @lilicoco: $5? which area is this for? I only have $3 off for my area.

            • @firestint: Sydney.

              • @lilicoco: Hi there, I just saw your comment and searched Easi gc on shopback's app but nothing show up.
                Did they take it away?

                • @moneytomyway: It's still there. You need to click into A-Z store to find. Don't buy on Shopback if you can. Shopback is voucher. You can't use any other discount code/voucher.

            • @firestint: Sounds like EASI favours Sydney over Melbourne when it comes to deals.

Picked up a $50 Swap card from WW this morning. IMO this is the best way for payment method on EASI, otherwise the ridiculous payment surcharge (up to 8%) is a real stinger… probably worth a report to ACCC for unfair charges?

              • +1

@Craze: Probably.. and also worthwhile calling out that EASI mark up the price for most places by easily at least 20-30% on top of payment surcharge.

                • @firestint: That's probably not too different to other platforms like UEats. The only upside to Easi is they do list a lot of Asian restaurants not on the other major apps (UE, Menulog, don't use DD/Deliveroo so can't say for sure).

              • @Craze: Yes, the surcharge is ridiculously high

                • @bird380: I recall reading somewhere there was a limit to payment surchage applied and found more info. I'm pretty sure Visa/MC wouldn't charge them 8-10% surcharge on a transaction so they're definitely getting away with it.

                  • @Craze: They are definitely making a profit on top of it! They're using Stripe to process the payment.
                    Stripe: 1.75% + A$0.30 for domestic cards, 2.9% + A$0.30 for International cards.(Lower for large mechant)

              • @Craze: Which Woolies did you purchase the $50 Swap Card from? I've been to a few - South Melbourne, St. Kilda and Balaclava and they had none.

                • @Slappie: Wheelers Hill, probably too far for you to travel to! I think only selected stores stock them… I noticed that Coles stock Swap range but not Food Delivery for some reason so only available in selected WW stores.

                  Good luck in your hunt!

    • shopback kogan voucher sux.

  • Has anyone been able to use 2 x Ultimate Eats cards for 1 order? I tried to do this at Nandos and they said we can't split the transaction. I had almost $2 on a card which I wanted to use with another card that was unused.

    • +1

Haven’t tried Nandos, but Salsas Mex definitely allow split transactions.

    • +1

I've done it at Grill'd. Split one order on 3 of these cards to use up remainders.

    • +1

Yes. Depending on the person who service you.
Tried at two different nandos and it works. But for the future, better convert it to nandos gc.

      • I didn't even know that we could convert UE to Nandos GC. Can you link me up with the URL to to this? Thanks

        • +2

You don't need to convert it. Just go into nandos store and pay for meal using ue card.

If you need to convert then you go in store and buy nandos gift card and pay with ue but no online option AFAIK

      • How do you convert it to Nando’s gc?

        • You don't you just use the gift card on the EFTPOS select savings at the shop. No conversion needed.

    • +1

I haven't managed to get 2 used in same transaction. Also nandos have recently price jacked everything :/

    • I've used multiple in one transaction before, haven't had an issue with split transactions at Nando's using the gc

    • +2

Yes I run out of balance all the time and use 2 of these ultimate gift cards to complete the transaction. You just got to tell them how much is on them.

But looking at these comments you might get someone that doesn't want to split payments

      • I think it's best to avoid doing this when there's a long line at the counter waiting to place their orders. This is when they might not do it. But when I tried at Nandos there was no one after me in the line :D

        • you are being served the people behind can wait or they can order on the app or go elsewhere if they are in a hurry

seen many homeless people counting up all there coins to buy food and nobody dares to complain

you're just too nice… no to empathy at queues

    • I paid with split transaction at Marion SA store to finish my remaining balance of $1.50.

15% off Deliveroo is decent with free delivery thanks to the 90 day trial

  • +1

The 20% off restaurants is great for the fully vaxxed.

  • +1

Have been waiting for UE for a while. Thanks OP.

  • BTW, Thanks OP. Don't forget to collect the Bricks.

  • I tried to pay at Grill with UE but was declined. Is there any limitations where some places don't accept UE gift card. Strange as it is an EFTPOS card.
    Anyone experienced this.

    • +1

I had a similar issue here and after some back and forth with blackhawk and ultimategiftcards, they replied saying that some participating retailers update their terminals and fail to notify them of the changes. Their partnerships manager then reached out to the branch and resolved the issue. The following week I was able to use the gift card at the same branch where it was rejected before

    • +1

It's happened to me before but at a Sushi Hub store, not Grill'd. They had 2 EFTPOS terminals though and it worked on the "older" one. Staff seemed to be aware of the issue and was mentioning they have had an upgrade which didn't accept the gift card. Weeks later it was resolved as managed to pay without issues.

        Thanks 👍 craze & cowboy.

  • CHICKEN!

  • Woolworths staff said only 2 card limit. Is it true?
