  • Double check if St George card supports Apple/Google Pay.

I've switched bank because the card wasn't supported.

    • They do, I have this card and using it with google pay

    Run away from St George.

      Why is that?

Unless there are different income thresholds that apply, the HSBC deal at $600 cashback for a $3k spend in 90 days looks like a better deal

    • Are you allowed to pay for bill using credit card? Will this be counted as eligible purchase?

      • No you can't.

Is this specific to St George? I am getting my ANZ card in a few days and was counting on quarterly water, electricity and gas bills to help me reach to minimum spend criteria.

          • @elecpurch: Thought htc was asking about HSBC. With St George I'm not sure because have not had a credit card with them.

            • @nightelves: good to know that HSBC doesn't allow. for any HSBC cards in the future.

            • @nightelves: That clarifies, so if I want cashback from credit card by paying bills, better to get st get or ANZ.

          • @elecpurch: How much cashback does and offer?

  • There are better deals out there but once you have done all those, take this deal, that is what I done. Even used the kogan one and now this, $300 free is great using your normal spend.

  • Yeh I churned this. Riiiight at the bottom of my "is this worth the effort" meter.

If you apply via the Bank of Melbourne page you get the sexy purple card sent out. I have quite a large collection of cards now so it was nice to have one that stands out a bit.

Slightly ashamed about that last comment, but oh well!
