    Great deal.

The best part is you know you are supporting an Australian business. According to the seller page: "Zyron Tech is 100% Australian owned & operated. A specialised manufacturer of Premium range of Fast Charging consumer electronics and mobility products, specially GaN Chargers & Power banks."

So not only are they 100% Australian owned and operated, they manufacture (and presumably design) their own products too.

I'm sure these claims are true. Because a respectable business wouldn't just go around claiming products being manufactured in Australia if they are not.

Hard 'paid to comment' infomercial vibe.

a respectable business wouldn't just go around claiming products being manufactured in Australia if they are not

They're neither designed by Zyron nor are they manufactured locally.

      • Very tongue in cheek satire.

      • Oh that's a surprise.

Maybe their Australian manufacturing operations are impacted by covid.

    • +2

What a surprise they have exactly the same on AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003192563810.html

So this business just ordered it from China with their sticker.

    • Sorry to burst your bubble but, yeah… nah.

While they might be an Australian 'based' business, they do not design or manufacture their products here (as noted by 0jay). They are essentially from the same production line as many other Chinese manufactured GAN chargers, rebranded and shipped to Oz to an Australian based business. An no, they haven't been impacted by covid. They only registered their business in Feb this year.

Run a search on OZB for Zyron Tech. They posted a promo a few weeks back and the whole topic was discussed and they never disputed that these are Chinese manufactured chargers. Added bonus with them though is they are AU based (Sydney) with AU stored stock (meaning there is ACL coverage) plus they include an additional 1 year warranty.

      • I'd think the ozbargin Zyron representative could come in an help clarify this misunderstanding. They very clearly claim they are a "specialised manufacturer" on their ebay page. A pic of him showing his ozbargain username on a piece of paper at the Australian manufacturing production line would convince any sceptics. Maybe he could even organise a tour of the manufacturing facilities to us ozbargainers - given all the support Zyron receives on here. I believe…

  • I have seen other GaN charger for little bit less. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353522318963

  • Check out the Kogan one posted yesterday…much cheaper.

  • Its a good charger except that the AU plug is upside down like the Chinese plugs.

It's a good thing - to have an aussie business going so well they are manufacturing a Chinese version for their export market in china. We can just use them upside down anyway. Who would have thought an Australian business would export electronics to China. Go Aussie go!

  • Got one of these GaN chargers advertising how fast they charge.

USB C to USB C, they straight up don't charge my phone at all. The normal USB port does though. I wonder if it's too powerful for my phone?

    • It usually needs to support the super charging protocol and yours probably doesn't support it ?? Or it could be incompatible cable ??

    • Your phone doesn't support PD I assume?
