i doubt they even check cookies, just do step 2

        • +1

yea just log out and back in with a new email address, worked 3 times for 30 each for me total 90 :)

  • bought 11; pretty awesome deal

  • +5

i've got a big whopper over this deal.

    • +2

      with "cheese"……

      • omfg! :D

  • How can you order more than 10? It limits me to ten.

    • +1

      Sign-up as your {partner, dog, cat, Mum, Dad, etc.}

"The Only Limitations are the Ones You Take With You" ;-)

    • Was multiple orders of 99 before. Of course Scoopon may not honour those.

      • just a promotion, HJ and scoopon they dont care how many you bought

        • We don't get them until the deal is over, so they may claw back some from those who got hundreds on the 1 account - to share them around. Otherwise unused free vouchers are no use to either HJ or Scoopon. The more people with fewer vouchers, the better for a promo.

  • It only let me buy 10… first I got 1, then I got another 9. Now it says I've already purchased the maximum amount, please come back tomorrow.

Oh well, I think 10 whoppers should keep me going for the rest of this year ;)

    • +4

WTF, Troy Buswell? Sir sniff a lot?

    • Yeah same for me, 10 was the limit. Oh well, I can't see myself even using one of these but friends will.

    • i bought 22 individual coupons

    • -2

      I'll sell you some??? bwahahaha

  • +5

    C'mon, Subway… help keep Australia healthy…

Match this coupon, so we can, eg, alternate:

    1 day Beef @ Hungry J's

    1 day Chicken @ Subway

  • +11

I don't even like whoppers and I bought 10. That really is the true spirit of ozbargain!

  • Man, took forever to find the location of our Brisbane one (had to go onto HJ's website and find out what obscure name they call the main one in the city!), but all good, its there, so i have bought 10. Great deal, thanks!

    • +1

      Yes, only Post Office Square.

      • +2

I was trying to find the Queen St Mall one, its there (called something weird, can't remember its name)

EDIT: Beak House is what the Queen St Mall one is called.

        • Thats it - well that was obvious wasn't it!!

  • +16

i got 99 vouchers but a drink aint one

  • not accepted at the myer centre hj's in brisbane :(

    • +1

The 5 minute walk to Post Office Square will be good to walk off the kJ.

    • Beak House - thats what it is called
      http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/stores?id=171

    • There is no Hungry Jack's in the Myer Centre. Unless you mean the one in the Mall? That's called "Beak House" and is on the list…

      • hello, fellow BNE/gc ozbargainers! ^__^

  • +1

why is it that the whooper does not have cheese?

    • +2

Because one with cheese is different menu item.

    • +3

the cheese would taint an otherwise healthy meal

  • OBESITY her I come.

  • +4

awesome, what i save ill put on in weight

  • thanks bought 9 for us

  • So how are you guys getting 99? It's limiting me to a (measly) 10… :P

    • +1

Because Scoopon/HJs realised very quickly what was going on and slapped a limit of 10 per day on the deal.

      • Ahh. Balls.

    • It let me buy 99 just now.

  • To those who bought 99….are you really going to consume all of them by Mid May?

    • +1

New to OzB are you? Welcome then!

  • Can you give these to friends/family or can only the person who buys them, redeem them?

  • Over 43000 "sold". I wonder if they will cap it at 50,000 or maybe 100,000?

Anyone know the deal where they "sold" the largest number of vouchers?

  • +1

I reckon they were going to get in trouble for never having a burger deal because that's what they always advertise!!!!!

  • Awesome deal!

  • Just bought 99, its awesome

  • +1

I just bought 99 too. Since you don't pay for the coupon itself it makes sense.

  • +4

just used firebug and got 1000

  • +1

    Great deal thanks :)

Now I just need to go buy a new belt ;D

  • Bought 99, thanks OP

  • FWIW, it let me buy 99 just now.

  • Bought 99 <3

  • gonna have a hungry jacks bday

  • +3

thought 99 was too much, so bought 20 instead!

    • Same, I don't see the point in getting 99 when me and my housemates would never use that many!

    • Same, same, same. Bad enough signing up to this. I'm attempting to retain some figment of self-decency…;-))

  • 59202 and still counting lol

  • Yeah, bought 10 earlier when it was limited to 10, but just bought another 89(max) just to be fair…
So, does this really mean that the 60,000 sold are really only going to 606 people… nice way to bulk up the numbers.

  • i wanna see that counts to 99.999 :P and cant exceed that …

    • Currently 150.000 Scoopons sold and rising fast! The Scoop is ON! (15.35 AEST)
      the counter stopped :P

  • woah… 70,000 "sold" within 100 mins of the deal
I'd be surprised if 5% of ppl use it so good marketing in many ways for HJ, as long as they honour it.

    • +1

Imagine if they don't. If it was a mistake and the deal was withdrawn!

    • +2

i think this is real, as HJ got $2 whopper some time ago. just print out that coupon and bring it to HJ.. but this deal we have to get it via scoopon .. this is better actually, plus small fries!!

  • +3

When this is done, one of you whiz kids needs to calculate the total grams of fat forr the transactions, including the fries.

    • +5

      Whopper:
      ^ Energy ^ Protein (g) ^ Fat - Total (g) ^ Fat - Saturated (g) ^ Carbohydrates (g) ^ Sugars (g) ^ Sodium (mg)
      2882 | 29.8 | 40.7 | 11.4 | 49.0 | 9.6 | 941

      Small Fries
      Energy | Protein (g) | Fat - Total (g) | Fat - Saturated (g) | Carbohydrates (g) | Sugars (g) | Sodium (mg)
      999 | 2.8 | 12.4 | 1.7 | 28.8 | 0.4 | 262

      • +4

Looks like 53.1g per voucher. So, if you buy, redeem and eat 20 vouchers, that is over a kilo of fat.

        • +8

screw this, i give up with tables T_T

Type Energy Protein (g) Fat - Total (g) Fat - Saturated (g) Carbohydrates (g) Sugars (g) Sodium (mg)
          Whopper 2882 29.8 40.7 11.4 49.0 9.6 941
          Small Fries 999 2.8 12.4 1.7 28.8 0.4 262
      • +6

now multiply that by… (checks scoopon site)… 80000:
        4.25 tonnes of fat.
        96.24kg of sodium.

        • I'm gunna wait til it closes to worry about fat tonnage.

        • Would the volume of a ton of fat be one metre squared? I am wondering if a swimming pool could concievably be filled with the fat in this deal……

        • water has a specific gravity of 1
animal fat has a specific gravity of approx 0.91

so, I suspect it would consume about 10% more volume than a ton of water

  • +1

no cooking or supermarket shopping for me for the next 50 days

    • +7

I love hungry jacks, but you eat whoppers and fries every day for the next 50 days and 2 things will happen:

      1) Moomoo's will start to look like a viable clothing option.
      2) The amount of satuated fat and salt your poor heart and kidneys will have to deal with will make you more lethargic, slowing you and your metabolisim down even more. Who know's it might even stop you… dead in your moomoo!

Everything in moderation folks. Nothing wrong with a Whopper every now and again- but just because it's cheap doesnt mean you should overdose on it.

Hell… hard drugs are free at the start too ;).

      • Depends, drop the bread off the whopper, and go into Ketosis for the next 50 days, the more saturated fat the better then!

  • +8

All these Hungry Jacks deals have me price anchored to paying $2 for a Whoppper or $3.95 for a meal. I'm never paying full price again. Ever.

    • +2

When I lived in the US, I would shop at Victoria's Secret. I love their gear, but would never, ever, pay anywhere close to full price. Every item would be on sale, at least once a month.

      • +2

I'm not sure I like the visual idea of Victoria's Secret in a thread also referring to eating Hungry Jacks for the next 50 days.

        • +2

lol Victoria's Secret. 'A burger a day keeps the swimsuit away.'

  • +1

Only available to use until 8th May. At 99 deals you would almost have to use two a day.

    • +25

      Challenge accepted.

      • ROFL

Would be fun if someone post a blog or a diary of some sorts to keep track of this 99 purchase of Whopper.

  • So who's going to be the first to post a scan of the coupon?

  • Lol, I saw the deal on Scoopon page earlier today and it only had 2000 sold, I "purchased" 4 for myself. I just checked again and was shocked to see 86,000! Understood why when I came to Ozbargain and read that everyone "purchased" 99 for themselves.

  • +1

How will they stop you from using the same voucher multiple times? As they don't scan the barcode or anything at HJs

    • They won't. As soon as they are emailed to the buyers they will be emailed around by everyone to friends as well. it was just a name generating promo for Scoopon, HJ's probs still make a small margin at $2 and get great publicity.

  • +1

99097 now. I want to see if it passess the 100,000 mark.

    • +1

It did. Does this make it the highest selling bargain of all time?

  • +2

Cool. Hope there's no name on the coupons :)

  • +2

    I just bought 4.

No need to be greedy (or fat).

I'll take my wife TWICE and that's it ;)

    • +4

arn't you gonna treat yourself to a whopper

  • +3

Nearly 100k now….That's a shite load converting cows to hamburgers.

  • 100000 already… im tipping it to pass a million before the deal ends…

  • +1

    When will it be OzBargained?

Atm its Scoopon 1 OzB 0.

    • +1

Hungry Jacks is losing the fast food battle… this deal will never be ozbargained ;)

    • +3

It's not the Scoopon site that's going to be OzBargained, it's the Hungry Jacks stores themselves! ;-)

Seriously, it would not surprise me if they temporarily run out of Whoppers in some stores as a result of this promotion — my local HJ's has supply issues, and runs out of some menu items quite frequently, and that's without any promotion like this going on.

  • +1

I stacked on nearly 2 kilos from their last $2 whoppers deal. now add fries. oh boy, it's time to loosen that gut once more..
