  • Went through the drive thru at Melville WA tonight and got one for my lil' one.

Got down the street -no fries!!! Arrrgh.

I was shocked she ate the whole burger.

    • just redeemed 2 vouchers through drive through, i also didn't get any fries(although 2 giant whoppers were more than satisfying).Do you have to specifically ask them? False advertising anyone?

      • I have redeemed 3 vouchers thus far, all walk-ins and i have always got the fries.

Did you order 2 Whoppers & 2 Small fries?
Seems only a problem so far with drive throughs. They can't see the voucher until after you have ordered, and no one I have given them to has known about the deal.
If you only ask for the Whoppers thats all you will get. They won't know you want fries if you don't tell them. Some using the voucher won't want fries.

I used a voucher the other day as well as ordering the summer value meal with free drive through upgrade,
Went in store to consume it as there frozen coke machine wasn't working so went I store to do it myself instead.
Free upgrade and free refills and a meal for 2 ( a 4yr old) for a grand total of $6.
I felt like such a tightass lol.

        • What's the "free drive through upgrade" deal?

      • If you are going through the drive through you should tell them what the voucher covers (they can't tell without seeing it and that's after the order goes through). It's in your interest to minimise the chance of them missing something ;-)

As others have said, if you ordered two whoppers and you got two whoppers, where's the false advertising??? Oh, because the voucher specifically said you could only redeem one at a time but you redeemed two. I see. Yes, they should have charged you extra.

If you specified "two whoppers and two fries for $2 each" and they missed your fries, thats still not false, thats just a mistake, but I seriously believe the former is more likely (that you just said 2 x whoppers for $2 each…).

As they've just had many months of a $2 whopper deal (no fries) and if you just said "a whopper for $2", of course they're just going to assume that's the coupon you have and prepare that meal for you…

If you go through drive through, and you want a whopper and fries, say you want a whopper and fries. Its not rocket science… You have a drivers license after all, have some common sense.

FYI, ive shrunk then printed out the same coupon 6 to a page (cut and paste in ms paint), cut them up and used the same numbered coupon 3 times 3 days in a row now with no problems. i still have 296 more individually numbers ones over 3 email addresses to go :)

      Please reassess your life. Please.

    • I cropped the voucher, up to the part about when it expires. Was able to fit 10 vouchers on 1 A4 sheet and they accepted it with no problem.

  • good idea about saving the paper :D.

  • yet another frie-less transaction
used 2 today (in 1 transaction) and they short changed us 1 lot of fries.

maybe the store is making an extra couple of bucks cos undoubtedly this is getting charged back to head office for every voucher whether they give out the fries or not.

is that really the coupon? no barcode or anything?

      • +1

I wouldn't bother using it, they dont scan my scoopon printouts anyways, so have been using ther same one over and over.

        • +1

but is that coupon above the real one or not, I missed the deal.

      • +1

yes its the real one just with the barcode (and my full name) removed. but as was said below they neither scan or even check them in store. and you can just show it on your fone to collect.

  • Looks like April's going to be a delicious month.
