Planning to take on Netflix Subscriptions

Hi OZB,

I am planning to take Netflix subscriptions with a collab with a firend. It will cost us $10 each per month as we are going for the premium one.

Just wanted to know if there is any cheaper way before we sign up and pay for the year. Like: Discounted GCs

Thank you

    • ^ This. Just follow the steps listed and you're mint. You should be able to find a free trial VPN (if you haven't got one already) from that list or elsewhere on OzB which you can cancel immediately after subscribing and entering card details.
Further, look at the popular No FX fee cards listed if you haven't already (I personally use Macquarie & formerly Citibank (now no longer available)) so that you aren't slugged an FX fee. CBA has no FX cards but they are generally limited to CC and not debit.

My recent charge for Netflix (Turkey) was $8.65 for Ultra (55 TKL) which is lower than listed above given their devalued currency.
Split that 2 ways as you've mentioned, or 4 and it'll be cheap as chips.

  • You guys can join a premium Netflix family for $5 a month in the OzBargain Classifieds section

    • Just say you want to Netlix and chill and turn out someone use the account. What's the process? You contact all of them in a WhatsApp group? You can tell which of them use more than once?

      • A single Netflix account can have multiple family members, and each person will be assigned an individual profile so no one inteferes with another person's watch history, reccomendations, etc on another profile. So there shouldn't be a need to contact the head of the Netflix family or any of the other family members.

        • You do know there is kids section right - this section seems to be not belong to any of the other profiles but it's counted against the headcount.
