Optus Prepaid Huawei E160e USB Modem $9.95

110

Bought one from Sydney south post office. $9.95 for optus prepaid huawei E160e usb modem with starter sim. Sim pack expired on 01/07/2011 already. But still a good deal for an USB modem. Plus possible the sim still can be activated by call to optus directly. No more left at that post office, but the staff there did a quick check and said still have stock Ranwick, axlexandra, botany etc. in sydney.

  • can anyone say for sure if this will work out-of-the-box with a TPG sim ? Or would I need to unlock it first ?

      That one worked for mine.

Just note that this modem is a pretty old model, but still does the job :)

work with any sim using optus network by an easy APN setting. Boost, blink, virgin, dodo, tpg, woolworths, etc without problem

  • Is it just Syd South PO or do you think it is across the board at all PO's? Anyone confirm as this may be a handy thing.

  • Have you tried activating the SIM? I activated one after the nominal expiry, though not that old.

  • Is there a way to free this of optus for free?

  • Any data with it?

  • Nice! I wonder if all Australia shops would honour this price, given that they are franchised?

    (Sweet, I'm an OzBargain rep!)

  • I've had one of these, since they first came out years ago and it's still intact, so they're pretty sturdy.
