The $5 bonus will show as pending in your Cashrewards account immediately upon activating the offer (no confirmation email is sent). Please ignore the bonus estimated approval date in your account as this is simply a placeholder. Gift card purchases are usually approved within 3-5 days of purchase.

Hi. You can see from this post that bonus offers that abide by the terms don't get declined, especially gift cards ones. The only reasons they would be declined is if (1) you activated the bonus after purchase, (2) if you activated the bonus and did not make a qualifying purchase, or (3) if you didn't follow the terms of the bonus.
