If these were browns I'd be all over this.

What do you like about Cherry MX Browns? Genuinely interested. There are much better and more tactile switches out there.

      • Well I have a k70 currently that's on its last legs - numerous drink spills.
I don't like the clicky reds (thus browns), but find the keyboard quite comfy (and I like the media controls).

Aaaaand I've only just noticed that this has no numpad so there's something else I'll be missing.

What keys / keyboard would you suggest instead?

No G keys, No numpad. Pretty expensive without these things.

So would you expect this to be the cheapest?

      • -2

No I expect things to be worth what they are given the features. My K95 has G keys and numpad and I got it for $129. Even Ducky keyboards have a numpad and are cheaper.

        • i got ripped off then.
i just bought 65% keyboard with no g keys, no numpad, no keycaps, no switches, etc….
it's also heavy as hell because it's made out of stupid brass. i should have picked light plastic.

on top of that it won't even be delivered until next year. wtf.

not to mention it cost over $500 and i still have to buy keycaps and switches :(

i should have just bought a k95 like you did, it's so much better and i would have saved so much money too.

          • @Hugh G Rection: You are basically talking about something that's specifically made for specific audience to something you can buy off the shelf.

        • It sounds like you have scored a bargain since I couldn't find K95 on Ozbargain cheaper than this, let alone at $129.

As with Ducky vs Corsair, Corsair is more expensive because, they are Corsair? Gaming brands charge bit extra normally. I don't know whether it's because they used aluminum or the other "features" they have or whether it is because it's from a gaming brand.

Though as with macros and numpad, I think it's more preference. Some people would rather pay more for TKL or less because it takes up less space on the desk.
