RGB will get your extra 20FPS !

      • ^ You move at more FPS. Because it's more light.

    • which is better?

      • The Corsair Sabre is the latest with an 8000Hz polling rate. Please check youtube reviews.

    • Just bought a Deathadder V2. Kinda wish I knew this existed, though I already needed to have Synapse installed, but damn a lighter chunky ergo.

      • I am currently using Deathadder v2, not very comfortable for me personally because of the shape.

        • Yeah, not the best for me either. I think it's better than the G900 I currently have at home mostly, though I like how it felt more full in my hand. Can't recall how my G502 at work felt in comparison, but I do remember I felt it was a bit too flat in the hand for my liking.

My quest for a big, light-ish, wireless palm/fingertip mouse continues.

  • I am currently using this mouse, great, but I want the wireless version. Lol

  • Is this the Logitech equivalent of the Razer Naga but NOT Razer?

    • +1

G604/G600 would be the Naga equivalent. Basilisk is the Razer equivalent of the G502.

      • I had no idea these mice existed!
I really appreciate the notes, been looking for a mouse for ages (and didn't want a Razer)

        • Razers reputation, with their newer mice at least, has picked up. I wouldn't count them out. Meanwhile, Logitech isn't the bulletproof Logitech of old. Though I haven't had issues with the G502 in this deal personally, there are a lot of complaints of double clicking issues.

  • I love this mouse. Had it for years and is very durable (scroll wheel has some wear and the coat is starting to come off). Might upgrade to the wireless version soon because the wire is quite annoying lol

    • Exactly the same

  • this is tempting but I have my heart set on a lightspeed

Thanks, picked up a G502. My current one is nearing 7yrs of age and I purchased a replacement shell from Aliexpress a few days ago but that'll take a while to arrive.

    • Same here. I bought it when it was released in 2014. It's still going strong. Some of the wiring coating has frayed off but I'm basically waiting for the mouse to die before getting a replacement. Hasn't happened yet.

      • The rubber grip under my thumb wore out and the scroll wheel is coating has wore off after all these years but I'm generally happy with it.

Now that my new one has arrived, I can notice a few more differences:
        - Whatever coating is on the left/right buttons has worn off a bit on the old one since there's a shiny gleam on it now. Might be the reason that sweat gunk builds up more easily on it now.
        - The left/right buttons and the small bumps you feel while scrolling are way more crisp on the new mouse (old buttons must have slowly worn off and lost that crispness)
        - New version has a rubber cable (downgrade from the 2014 version)
        - Somehow, the the new mouse feet are less slippery than my old one even though I never replaced my old mouse feet

Either way, I'm happy with 2 since I can always use one at work once the office expects employees to start commuting again :(

Also thankful that the new version still works with Logitech Gaming Software so I don't have to switch to GHub yet.

  • Left click gave way less than a year and I take very good care of my equipment. Be aware.

    • then you should have been able to make a warranty claim?

      • I was so angry and busy, didn't even think about it.

  • Is this wired mouse worth it? Or should I spend more on the wireless version? It's just the wireless one is much more expensive

    • +1

Depends what you want…as someone who plays FPS’, wired has always been the way to go

      • have you used the lightspeed G502? I bought one for my brother for Christmas who is a heavy gamer - he can't tell the difference at all between wired and wireless.

I don't think it's probably worth the extra money, but personally I want the wireless convenience if I'm going to upgrade when I don't need to.

        • No I haven’t. But I come from the age where wireless mouse technology wasn’t that great; so it’s engrained in my mind to only use wired lol

          • @Danstar: I feel you, I felt the same way - I gave this one a bit of a go and was shocked. In the back of my mind I felt I was still subconsciously blaming input lag but really there was no discernible difference to me, I'm only a social gamer and not super competitive or anything so ymmv.

Purchased today in WA, Officeworks updated their price (matched) so they no longer need to "beat" their competitor.
Regardless I love the size of this mouse, it's long and fairly big, the first mouse in a long time where I haven't had to use a "claw" grip.
