    Burner phone…

    • Typically (at least last time I bough a phone) they made you show your ID etc.

Obviously if someone were to buy them in bulk then sell them to unknown parties privately probably maybe.

      • The Better Call Saul method

Don't think you need ID to buy a phone nowadays

Signing up for a sim maybe though

        • Correct, no ID is required to buy a mobile phone now; and that has been the case for years.

Here'a question from left fiel … did anyone on here manage to pick up one of the 'Optus X Pro' phone that Woolworths was just selling for $25 (with $30 Optus credit), reduced from $180? There's still a bit of stock around in weird/obscure locations, according to their website …

A great deal, even just for the cam on the phone …

Reckon Coles would 'price match'?!? LOL

I think these (3G) were going for $5 from Target a few months back.

    Can Amaysim use this phone?

    • If it runs on the Optus network then yes

  • Would make a nice Wifi modem for tethering if it's got 4G

Does it even have WiFi let alone tethering?

  • Thanks, bought one. I go on call for work 1 out of every 4 weeks and have a separate SIM for it. Can chuck it in this bad boy.

  • Can't believe I missed this (at least online) - I've been waiting for one of these to be on a decent sale for months.
