  • Saw this earlier and got tempted but went through comments of previous OzBargain deals on this and people seem to think it’s way worse than C1, can people explain if it is really that bad?

  • The one thing I dislike about LG, if you are running an external BT speakers, you have to reconnect then each time you start the TV.

I don't know why but LG somehow can't even do the basic of connecting your BT at start up.

Sounds annoying but you're probably the only person in the entire world that uses BT speakers with the TV.

      • LOL I did until I realised the benefits of optical

        • Educate me, please. I'm using my Bluetooth soundpeat earbuds with my LG C1. They are more comfortable to lay in bed with than using my PS5 headphones.

          • @Atronach: Oh you meant earbuds not soundbar/speakers. Yeah BT is fine I guess!

      • What do you mean? Do you just use the default TV speakers?

Hey, at least it connects. My Sony 65" can't even connect with Sony XM3 headphones because it's not supported.

    • This is a valid scenario. Not sure why you are downvoted.

Still confused.. why would people buy sound bars etc if it's not connecting to your TV?

I know someone mentioned optical cables but sometime it's either physical impossible, messy and the sound between BT and optical are minimalin a residential sense…

  • Wouldn't compare this to the C1.. if anything the BX and C1 are the comparison I would make.

  • How's it compare to a B7?

      • That SDR and HDR brightness doesn't fill me with confidence

        • I don't think it's too bad honestly, but it will greatly depend on the brightness of your room and what sort of reflections you have behind you.

The A1's SDR/HDR brightness is slightly better than my ancient 55EG910T OLED, and it's roughly the same as the highly regarded C1.

I am tempted to upgrade to the A1 as it will be a big jump in performance for myself. I have been hoping that my EG910T will finally pack it in, but it just keeps going.

As for your B7, I think it is fine, I dont think the minor differences are worth it unless you absolutely want a TV that support 4K60 @ 4:4:4 on all modes.

      • My understanding of this comparison is that my old TV is better than this new TV and I paid roughly the same for my old one some years ago.

    • The B7 gets significantly brighter.
Hold onto your B7 for as long as possible (that's what I intend on doing).

  • I bought the C1 48' (biggest I can fit in space yesterday from JB for ~$2095 (price match with someone else) Gaming and streaming sport in bedroom was use case

  • Any thoughts on this one as a boardroom display? Don't think the refresh rate of a gaming one would be necessary. Just need something reasonable sized to use for presentations/demos/etc in a relatively small boardroom.

Way overkill. What you need is the cheapest, biggest LCD display you can fit in the board room.

Spend the extra cash on a casting device so people presenting can connect wirelessly and a good teleconference device which connects to PCs via usb. Logitech do a pretty good one, looks like an oversized UE Boom. Avoid buying one tied to a specific conferencing application (we have a bunch of Cisco ones which are useless because everyone uses Teams now).

      • We are mostly a Google shop so would just put in a Chromecast - I mostly just want a nice high resolution screen that is big enough to see decent detail.

The teleconference stuff would be useful & something we are looking at (in fact looking at the Google kit for that too, but it's so expensive).

Thanks for the feedback though, will check out the Logitech kit.

        • Any 4K display will do the job for you. The picture quality benefits from OLED are in image quality rather than resolution, and they do best in movies and video games, not the kind of stuff you’d have in your board room.

  • Thanks guys! Managed to combine this with the 10% cash back on Zip! When I purchased in store today the rep said today was last day at this price. Wanted an OLED for watching movies so very happy with this 😊
