[NSW] Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Mouse (Graphite) $69 @ The Good Guys Auburn (in Store Only)

1368

Not sure why the price has been reduced. I was surprised to see the $69 price sticker on the box and was not sure if it is true. They said it is on half price. Not available on TGG website and only in store

I got one from TGG Auburn NSW and there were 8 more in stock when I bought this yesterday 14Oct evening at 7pm

    Price in title please

  • Was it an open box item?
Seems like somebody has most likely mislabelled it to me, but if we can get confimration that would be a great deal.

    • +1

      Brand new - sealed

  • +5

    Obviously I bought 1 - pic with the price showing - https://postimg.cc/2LB4V48J

    • +1

Probably unobtainable as well at other stores.

    • +4

Nice pickup! most likely someone dropped a 1 in front of the price
Good old price error most likely - pre-online times!

      • +1

Yeah doesn’t look like a discount price tag…

      • They still have to scan right. Their system dropped "1" as well?

        • Probably that it scanned at a different price but the salesperson just punched in the sticker price. Im just surprised the system let them.

    • +7

Reckon we could get a copy of the receipt so we are able to price match it?

    • Could you please specify the store location?

      • Updated in description

        • Thanks, title updated

  • which store, please?

  • +2

Nice one. Would be surprised if it's intentional given how much trouble I had getting DigiDirect to fulfill my recent order of one.

    • Digidirect doesn't like to fulfill most of their orders.

      • +1

They dispatched it but took a month and they delayed it about six times. So much for things having to be delivered by the date given under Australian Consumer Law…!

  • +10

OP, name of the store, please.
No point posting this teaser if you won't mention the store name.

  • great price. mouse has noteicable lag for gaming though coming from a wired mouse, so sad

    • using mx master 2 here. with bluetooth connection and feels pretty much the same as G903 with it's dedicated receiver, in daily use.

haven't tried gaming on it though… but it is not designed for gaming anyways….

      maybe check your bluetooth connection?

      • G903 is wireless too, and has noticeable lag.

    • +2

It's also pretty heavy and awkward. I love my MX Master 3 but yeah I'd never use it for gaming.

      • I think the weight actually improves the mouse for regular non-gaming use.

    • +2

I used to have an MX Master 2 for gaming, before I got my Viper Mini I was snapping my wrists with every flick….

      • I gave you an upvote on my Viper Mini :)

    • These are huge, heavy mice geared toward productivity and not for gaming

Look up rtings for latency measurements and then look up measurements against wireless mice like the G703 or the Viper Ultimate and so-on

  • wow, great price. Keen to know which store in Sydney.

  • anyone had luck calling up their local?

  • +1

Do you mind sharing the receipt? Thanks!

    • Receipt and store would be super helpful! Thanks OP

  • +21

No receipt, no store listed and no response from OP. Waste of time.

  • +6

Not a deal unable to buy it.

  • +18

Is this an established bargain or a one-off celebratory post that someone scored?

  • Nice deal if you can get it 👍

  • +3

Great price. Most places around me say no stock. And without a copy of the receipt other stores won't price match.

    OP can you post receipt?

  • This had better be unobtainable given I bought it from Wireless1 yesterday 😭 😭 😭

    • +1

buy this, return to wireless1 with original receipt?

      • +1

        Shipping.. Latitudepay.. Meh

I think TGG stores are closed in Vic still anyway, and my nearest is a bit of a hike with two little ones.

        • TGG stores are closed in VIC

C&C only. Hopefully, not for long. So close to 70% vaccination rate.

  • Do they also have the MX vertical?

    • -1

Just rotate the box 90 degrees.

  • -1

Did anyone else buy one to validate this?

  • +4

I’m surprised this made front page considering no one has bought it lol

  • Called a few stores and they couldn't help as I didn't have the store or item code. Website only shows mac version (no idea the difference). Waste of time as it currently stands.

    OP, WYD?

    • From memory, I think the difference is whether it's BT only or comes with the unifying receiver?
Happy for someone else to correct me

  • +5

Lack of response suggests we are being trolled by someone who owns a pricing gun

    • +3

It also had the perfect Price $69

    • So many upvotes too.

    • You do realise that the cashier scans the product barcode.

  • +2

    Oz fools day…..

  • +3

    Not enough info

  • +2

Called Blacktown homemaker store and they dont know anything about this. They are still selling at the normal price of $149. Such a waste of time.

  • +1

Called GG .Apparently they mentioned about this Ozbagain deal as many might have already called them. It's showing $149 in their system.

  • +1

I love mine. This is a steal

  • +1

This post shall be removed as it's unobtainable.

  • +2

Looks like it's not a real deal and 1 error in a particular store that had not even been mentioned. Why is this even on the main page?

  • +1

Called local store and yep it’s one single store only deal. It’s just that we don’t know which store 🤣

    • Auburn according to OP. Seem's pointless as I doubt other places will price match this

    • It’s just that we don’t know which store

      Yes we do

  • jokes aside, are those mice really cost logi less than $69 to produce? Just thinking the overhead margin including branding and supplychain for such product is remarkable

    • Manufacturing cost is definitely much lower than that, other cost reduces when the sale volume grows

    • +2

Machine tooling is expensive (getting molds and installation). For economic shapes it normal always the bigger overhead.

    • -4

I reckon it will cost Logitech less than $5 to produce.

Some $ will go into development of the product, but there is a large margin for retailer, marketing and distribution.

      • +2

        It'd cost more than $5, wouldn't it?

        • Plastic for the body, buttons, pads for thumb & bottom of mouse, etc
        • Microswitches
        • Laser emitter and receiver
        • Processors
        • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module/s
        • Battery
        • USB module (incl. charging)
        • Hardware

Yes, it'll be ridiculousy cheap, but I doubt it'd be $5. Maybe $10-20.

But I don't work in that sort of manufacturing, so I am not talking from any point of authority.

      • +2

        Tooling is >$100000

        • -1

          R&D is >$1000000

      • Ultimately the market decides what its worth regardless of cost to produce/develop.

        In Aus at least:
        * Street price $130-150 ,
        * Sale Price $100-120
        * Unobtainium/price error $50-70

    • +1

There are times when the retailers sell at loss, because it's better than throwing the thing out (and there is a cost to holding onto old stock).

That said, I get the feeling that this price was more likely something that isn't normal. I am leaning towards, someone messed up with their price gun kinda thing.

  • 13 active reports on this post heh.

  • Sold out 30 seconds ago according to on the phone staff

edit: accidentally negged instead of upvoting

  • Nice to see someone bought the last 3

  • Ripper price, shame I live in VIC.

  • +4

The post is correct, I called the store, they had it for this price but sold out now

  • +2

It's gone… one guy told me over phone its first in first served… came into store said someone already purchased over phone… uhh……

    • Wtf i tried and they said no holds or purchases over the phone. Apparently some guy came in 2 minutes before me and bought the last 3

      • +1

        LOL scalpers gonna scalp.

  • +1

Anyone ever had success in JB or Officeworks matching a receipt like this?

    • Nope. Got told they don't match receipts.

      • I tried jb, they weren't sure and had to ask the manager who said no

  • +1

Over the phone price is $149 & stock in Penrith…(I'm Bayside area)
I prefer MX Anywhere 3 to replace the older Anywhere 2 & align with Master3 USB-C charging

    • +2

      It's 49 at auburn, 3 in stock at 11:30
