DealExtreme.com - Free Shipping Storewide Worldwide - Gadgets as Low as $0.96

193

Dealextreme.com offers site-wide free international shipping and PAYPAL payments.
From my knowledge, the items are delivered from Hong Kong. Delivery generally takes 7 to 14 business days for air mail delivery, EMS takes about 3 to 5 business days for most countries (including the US).

Note that prices are in US dollars.

The site also offers Drop Shipment and Gift Service (Removes DX logo from package) for an extra $0.01, great if you are ordering a gift to be directly sent to the recipient and do not want them to know where you ordered it from. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1888

  • Didn't we already know that??

    • Sorry, I didnt search for previous posts before submitting it. Is there a way to delete this?

  • Free Shipping is part of their normal offering - it's nothing special.

  • To be fair it had been 5 months since anyone had posted a dealextreme link, and I presume there have been a fair few new users since then that might not have heard of it.
I was wondering if it would be worth having a page somewhere on the site for regular daily deals / dealextreme type sites instead of having them posted so often?

  • Have been thinking about posting this SDHC Card Reader Deal on DX http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6858 for a couple of weeks now since I stumbled across it. Wasn't sure whether it was sufficient enough of a find. Scotty what would your call be?

    • Feel free to post about a product from DealExtreme.

The reason I voted negative here is that the free shipping @ DealExtreme (and FocalPrice) is pretty much common knowledge and they have been having free shipping pretty much since the beginning (which was one of DX's selling point).

  • Just remember ladies and gentlemen, DONT BUY THE LASER POINTERS (>1mw) as its now illegal to import them into Australia.

    • There are many items on dealextreme that are prohibited in Australia, e.g. plant seeds, some knives, etc.

If you're not sure, check with customs. There's also a wiki on whirlpool which may be useful for some.

On a side note, I'm also giving this a negative because:
      — 1) this website has already been posted several times.
      — 2) the 'free postage' is not really a deal. It is their marketing strategy, and it has been this way since they started the business. Most of the prices have already been inflated to include shipping anyway.
      — 3) there are several other sites like that, i.e. kaidomain.com, focalpoint.com, etc.

    • and pepper spray =\

      mine didnt come through

although they have lots of CHEAP stuff, ive bought a whole bunch of crap from them and most of it doesnt work very well (nor at all)

if its electronic gadgets, the drivers wont work or are in a different language. one of my infra-red driver discs had the plastic cover melted onto the disc.

tv tuner had a faulty cable which caused the signal to drop out regularly and freeze the app streaming from it.

on a brighter note, the bluetooth adaptor works like a charm (if you can find the bluetooth drivers online) and i now have an unlimited supply of zip ties for $3.

end note: you really get what you pay for on this site. only buy stuff that you KNOW cant be stuffed up

  • Seems quite handy for getting cheap stuff.

  • I love DX. It's like the world's biggest $2 shop.

Tip: Set your expectations on product quality pretty low, then you know you can't go wrong. But if you, like me, just like the feeling of coming home and finding something mysterious in the letterbox that has to be unwrapped, then this place is great and a cheap way to get your thrills =D

    • yeah especially since shipping is 4-6 weeks!

Although DX and focal point have been listed before, they aren't common knowledge and is especially useful for newcomers. so +1 for me.

      • I've ordered plenty of times from DX and it usually takes around 6 days.

        • 3-4 weeks for me

good thing is, if something is on backorder and it takes too long

they will send some first, and wait for the rest to come through

      • Most of the stuff I've ordered from them has gotten to me in under a week. Often a lot quicker than someone in Australia would have taken to send it to me.

  • They still yet to deliver my battery for NDS and USB charger. Ordered them back in June but no show until now. They keep saying it's on backorder.

  • They are good - be careful though, can still be more expensive than just shopping on EBAY

For example - 8gb microSD card is $33 USD on DX - can get the same from APUS on EBAY for about $33 AUD.

  • No harm in reposting this since it's been awhile, I'm sure a lot of ppl don't know about it…but DX is a BARGAIN…

  • Oh, and the DS screen protectors are cheap as!

    • I also recommend their iPhone screen protectors. Great quality and cheap, $2 for a two pack delivered.
