Dell S3222DGM 32 Inch QHD 165Hz VA Monitor $449 Delivered @ Dell eBay

490
PDLLS20

Dealbot mentioned in his post that this monitor is not included in the Dell deal but looks like it is. I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago and received it in under a week. Very happy with the panel- I prefer this size to an 34 inch ultrawide format.

Not the lowest its been but a great price nontheless.

I think I got mine for $399, but it's well worth it for $449. I'd consider getting a second for that price if I had the money right now.

its little brother S2722DGM for $300 is also very impressive

same specs, just 27" instead of 32

depends on how close you're sitting? in my case 32 was too big, and 27 is just right. same QHD resolution

    • You're right, the S2722DGM is the vastly better deal. Both perform very well for a VA panel too.

    • Didn't even see the s2722dgm on the list. Great specs and a great price. Guess there's an option for everyone.

    • I can't seem to find it either. 32 is little too big for me, 27inch would be perfect.

      Can you please link it?

probably sold out. it was a stellar deal

I was and still am on my mobile, and fken Ozbargain site thinks that mobile eBay links are affiliate and doesn't allow posting them anyway

        gone!

        • Thank you So much

          • @dezi: you're most welcome

            did you get one?

            • @shabaka: not yet, thinking if i should get this or S2721DGF?

        • Thanks! Picked one up as well. It won't arrive until Dec 2, but we all know bargains are worth waiting for.

          • @syl_kn: I'm hoping they were waiting for the sale to end and then start shipping them. Surely it can't actually be that long of a wait!

    • considering this to pair with my recent acer nitro purchase, i'm just learning that it seems gsync/freesync won't work with the hdmi out on the nitro though, does it work on yours? or do you find you aren't getting any tearing/stutter anyway using other available settings?

      • +1

to be honest I haven't noticed any tearing yet

played Control, Ghostrunner and Mordhau on external

but I may be not the right person to ask, as I never actually had problem with tearing, like ever, maybe I am not sensitive to it?

        • cool, good to know that put's my mind at ease haha. the acer is a big step up in hardware for me from my current potato so wasn't sure how this would play out with displays, and i've been reading/watching a bunch of stuff, maybe adaptive sync tech may not be as important as it's made out to be.

@yupyup: from memory, this is important when FPS that your graphics is delivering is more than monitor frequency

so unless you are planning to play something that is able to output more than 165 FPS on your 3060, V sync is not important

most games I play are below 144Hz, or I can set framerate limit. why bother ripping RTX 3060 ass to output more frames than I can see

  • Would this be good for both ps5 use and as a work monitor (just simple emails, Microsoft office suite, video calls).

    • +3

I'm not the most knowledgable between IPS and VA monitors so I won't comment on that but I am confident to tell you that QHD (1440) is currently not supported on the PS5 so games will run on 1080, I found out the hard way. The 165hz refresh rate is nice for PS5 though, a lot of games do 60fps and some even 120fps so the monitor would be useful if you're after high refresh rate.
As a work monitor, it should be fine. High refresh rate is unnecessary but welcoming for casual tasks. 32" is on the larger end but it really depends on how close you are to the monitor.

    • Not good for ps5 - ps5 won't output 1440p, so it will run at 1080p on this screen and lose a lot of sharpness. Series x outputs 1440p, hopefully Sony bring this feature to ps5 but I doubt it

anyone have any advice for having a combination of IPS and VA monitors? I have two 2721DGF's and thinking of getting an ultrawide as well. will the different panel types annoy me?

    • +2

Probably depends on how you use them. I tend to focus on one or the other at a time so it doesn't bother me at all. What might bother you though is if you are sitting at an angle from the VA monitor, the colour shift will be noticable.

  • whats the cheapest this has been?

    • $423.20 I think

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/634791

I grabbed one in that deal. It's fantastic. Even at $449.

I use it as the main monitor with a 4K 27" and laptop screen on either side for work and gaming.

      • thanks i might pick up one if its at $423.20

Waiting for dealbot to do the $423.20 and I will get one!

        • I think you will be waiting a while.

Is this a good thing for minecraft?

This is a fantastic monitor and a great price. I own it. For those asking about console support i would look else where as the resolution is only 2560 x 1440.

  • A little more expensive but an Amazon alternative isnt too bad if you have gift cards there
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Dell-Curved-Gaming-Monitor-Compati…
    $489.29

  • Just bought one. Been looking for a decent 32" QHD for a while. And for that price, I had to go for it.

  • Can anyone compare this for $399 vs the monitor in this thread https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/324765374150

    • +1

The HG model is 1080p, the DGM model us QHD 1440p.

  • Too many advantages with an ultrawide vs 16:9 imo. Good monitor and great price though.

consider this! same thing but 27" for $299
